Do people think a local tournament pre season would be a good idea and good for revenue.Maybe something like the red rose trophy with Rochdale,Oldham,Bury and Accrington or a Lanc's v Yorkshire trophy along the same line.I think all the clubs involved would benefit financially and would be a good start to the season. Whats your thoughts I know we used to have the Lancashire cup (which we won at home against oldham) and the rose bowl but i think it would work and benefit both club and fans.

The friendlies back in the 80s and 90s when it was The Lancs Cup seemed to have a bit of bite to them compared to the run outs, we get these days so I agree it would be a good idea however I very much doubt that GMP would agree.

Would be a shame if gmp disagreed because i think something like that would benefit all concerned like i said and would set the season up nicely and put bums on seats.
