Other than Ramsdale we have no leaders in the squad. I’m not sure who you are expecting to lead . Downes has been terrible this season and not worth his place in the team. You keep saying Tall Paul has not wanted to know for the last couple seasons. I think you are wrong, saints didn’t treat him well or want him. He would easily get 10goals in a full season of premiership football. It will take Armstrong 5 seasons to get there. Even then he is reliant on pens.

I'm not sure who I am expecting to lead either, perhaps Adam Lallana is the only leader, as he was Captain before I think, I have said on numerous occasions that we lack leaders and organisers and the biggest surprise is that we don't bring one in
I would agree that Tall Paul has not had the best of luck at Saints, he arrived to play under Nathan Jones and within a week or so Jones was sacked and Selles took over who played a different style that didn't suit him and then Martin who he definitely didn't suit .
He is a tryer, but I don't think he would get 10 goals in a season, his finishing is woeful, as was shown against West Ham when he missed a couple of sitters and in general he doesn't get on the end of enough balls through to him,
6 starts and 8 sub appearances and 2 goals isn't a great total,
Armstrong is a different kind of striker, this season he has played out wide a lot.
I am being clinical on both players here, I truly hope that Tall Paul does score a lot of goals and is a success, but I suspect when we go down he will want to go and play abroad again rather than the Championship |  |

Could not agree more of what you have written Nick .
We have ( or had ) a solid foundation for a good championship team and the likes of Archer , Armstrong and Diaz ( should not let him leave in my opinion) had the strikforce that could get a few goals.
We lent one out who may not wish to come back and Sheffield Utd have an option to buy the other one .
Sulemana has shown no real fight in 2 years at the club and couldn’t wait to get away the trouble was no one wanted him. I’ll give he he’s at now started to put a bit of effort in but I wouldn’t want to rely on him next season .
Tall Paul I just don’t see what a lot of fans see in him.
Like you say the real worry is Juric ripping apart a squad that didn’t need ripping apart, Martin had his faults but at least he was a manage that knew the championship unlike Juric .
Dragon and his cronies don’t seem to have a clue or a plan of what they are doing and the new bloke I’ve no faith in whatsoever.
We could have worse owners but we could also have a darn sight more better owners .

Selles also beat Chelsea in his first game. The fans got him the job by singing his name. We then pretty much lost every game after that. Simon Rusk, has no experience of managing. Every manager fails here, every single one.
