Taraabt on 17:44 - Jan 22 with 2652 views | stainrods_elbow | In the words of Barry Davies, 'Interesting. Very interesting!' He's now 35, but - call me a romantic nutcase - if he's fit, all parties were agreeable, and he were available on a cut-price one-year deal, I would definitely take a look at it at least! Taraabt on 17:52 - Jan 22 with 2567 views | numptydumpty | Be very very surprised if this happened. Is Al Nasr a Saudi club, that's big money even for 35 year olds who have seen better days. If he was here, his salary would be miniscule by way of comparisons and it's only in the last couple of seasons that he has made any significant impact at a club since leaving ourselves more than a decade previously. Be on a par with the return of Charlie or Mr Ainsworth coming home or Sir Les in the boardroom. Never go back to an ex to rekindle old memories. Time moves on. And he is a completely different player and person now. But also goes against everything in how the club is being run right now. Zero possibilities this happens.. But rose tinted glasses can get distorted easily. Can understand. Also, the words, " had a disagreement with the club" red flags galore !!! [Post edited 22 Jan 18:01]

Taraabt on 18:06 - Jan 22 with 2435 views | aston_hoop | The best use of Taarabt for us would be him coming to London and doing a couple of 'an evening with...' type events with the fans, few questions, few laughs, we all get to reminisce about how good he was and that season and everything. But nothing has to change on the pitch, or with the squad. Job done.

This would be a great idea and well deserved for one of the greatest QPR players I’ve ever seen in the flesh (Les, Paul Parker the other two) I was at the end of season dinner after promotion and Paddy Kenny got player of the season and Adel was genuinely and in retrospect quite rightly gutted. In fact it was a weirdly moody night all round. Chance to put it right

This x 10000 Assume he’s already been invited but travel hasn’t worked out. He didn’t have big connections to London really did he so no reason to travel I’d imagine.

I actually struggled with my fellow Rs for a little while after that - it was such a deliberately perverse and frankly wrong decision. Any other goalkeeper from the Champ that season and Adel - win the league. Worlds best goalkeeper and no Adel - we mid table. Plus the sheer fireworks, skill entertainment value of Adel. Most skillful QPR player since Tony Currie

Not Saudi, he was playing in the UAE pro league. I am sure the wages were still good though. Playing alongside Leroy Fer as well.

Yeh doesn't make any sense really. Last game of the 2010/11 season, When all the players came out to lift the championship trophy he got the biggest cheer. All the fans inside the ground loved him. At the time though he had his fair number of critics on this site.

Didn't know that Leroy Fer played football !! Ok UAE. Still be on a tidy sum there. [Post edited 22 Jan 22:54]

I never understood that at all - what was the story there? It was a ridiculous outcome, and AT would have been absolutely warranted in throwing every toy in the pram out of it (as, according to Warnock, he did).

I'd' say he was the most skilful Rs player ever - with Stan a massive second.

I agree and it looks mad in hindsight. The only thing I can think of is that you only get a small window to vote and it just takes a month of that window of him acting like a spoilt shit to ruin his chances. We (fans) don’t tend to think in seasons until we look back on them. Let’s not forget Karl Ready is a holder of POTY. [Post edited 23 Jan 0:09]
