Tuchal. England! 14:20 - Oct 15 with 15440 viewsPlanetHonneywood

Reported on Beeb the FA has held talks with him over the second hardest job in footy after Marti's.

Doesn't he have a record of falling out with everyone?

Yeah I'd really like Carsley to be given the opportunity but if not him then I couldn't care either. Just another load of millions wasted on another "big name" manager who won't do much better than his predecessors.

Me too ,
Rather watch Rangers women lose a first round cup tie than watch England in a final .

The roads and golf course is lovely and quiet if England are playing .

Find him a bit of an irritating nerd trying too hard to be interesting but maybe that’s just the Chelsea factor.

If he's appointed and England don't win every game 5-0 playing 4-6-0 (to accommodate all the stars) the media (social & established) will be on him right away.

All that money poured into St Georges and they appoint a foreign manager? Would love to say I can’t see it but we are in knee jerk panic territory.

I don't mind if a Manager is foreign as long as they are the best person for the job. I don't think Tuchal is but then I don't know who is and who's available and wants the job.

It's the stock England appointment...a failed club manager.

Carsley really has blown his chance with those weird press conferences, he'll never get another chance, really odd

As for Tuchel he's still living off that fluke Chelseas champions league win, was awful at Bayern last year, a mad appointment give the players we have type of football you need to play with them, he's even more defensive than Southgate

Still good luck hope it works out

Hardly a failed club manager...

Total

Games managed 613
Won 351
Drawn 122
Lost 140
Win rate % 57.26

There would be a delicious irony of a German leading us to our first silverware since beating Germany.

The bigger problem is that he has an alleged tendency to alienate dressing rooms!

Never knowingly right.

managing PSG and Bayern you should have a record like that spending fortunes but bottled the big champions league games with them. Was terrible at Bayern

I just think style of football wise he's a bizarre choice

Isn’t that completely opposite of the the point of international football? As in, no one is supposed to be foreign for anyone?

Sh1t appointment
Typical FA , appoint a manager who can’t win the league with Bayern
Come back Gareth all is forgiven

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Interesting appointment: at least he’s a proven manager with a decent CV.
Don’t think Carsley was comfortable in the role at all, glad he didn’t get the job.

Players, yes, (though Jack Charlton stretched that and other nations have dished out citizenships) but that boat sailed long ago in terms of Managers.

If we had to go non English and Pep didn't want it I think old Thomas Frank down the road would have been a good choice, has shown he can play different styles from direct to open attacking with flair and is very good tactically. He has one of those faces you want to smack but has done a brilliant job at Brentford

Watching the U21s. 3 up. Very very good. Much better to watch than the senior team.
