These proved to be a tough set of fixtures for most, with one member firing a blank, and the Middlesbrough win saving five others from that same fate. Although that Middlesbrough victory was mainly responsible for a respectable 17 spot-ons in total, only a total of 31 outcomes, gave us the second worst week of the season so far. Last week was a rare one with no 3 pointer for blueeagle, but he was back to form in a big way this week when he was the only one to get three 3 pointers, the wins for Everton, Middlesbrough and Newport, to give him an impressive 9 points, and make him the weeks top scorer. Three members did well to have two 3 pointers, with the best coming from basher2010, who got the 2-0 wins for Middlesbrough and Mansfield, and two outcomes, to give him an excellent 8 points. Also durham_exile, who had the wins for Everton and Middlesbrough, and one outcome to give him a decent 7 points, and finally Madeira163, who got the wins for Middlesbrough and Newport, to give him a decent 6 points. Best of those to have one outcome were ghughes11, who got the Everton 2-1, and Moor_Pinot, who had the Newport 2-1. They each also got two outcomes, to give them both a solid 5 points. In the Premier The top scoring performance from blueeagle restored the 13 point lead he held two weeks ago. He has now equalled the record points total by Week 8, held by ghughes11 in the 2020/21 season. But with him only getting 2 points in both of the next two weeks, he is very likely to have that record outright in the near future. After losing out on the other Charity Shield spot in the last two weeks, by the most 3 pointer rule, the excellent week for basher2010 finally got him there this week. Just the Middlesbrough 2-0 spot-on for thrillseeker, and he has to settle for third. Only two outcomes for mfb_cufc and RSCOSWORTH, and they remain fourth and fifth. Having the Mansfield 2-0 spot-on moves oxfcolu up a place to sixth. The solid week for ghughes11 moves him up three places to seventh. Just the Middlesbrough outcome for Daniel means he drops into the bottom three again. Having the Middlesbrough 2-0 spot-on helped burnsieepana move a point nearer to safety. In Division One This league has been hotly contested for the last few seasons, and this one looks like being the same, with only 14 points separating top from bottom. Just about clinging onto that top spot is bwildered, thanks to getting the Middlesbrough 2-0 spot-on. He holds on by the most 3 pointer rule from durham_exile, who moved five places to the other automatic spot, after his decent week. Just the Middlesbrough outcome for Tropical_Us, means he drops to third. The decent week for Madeira163 moved him up a big six places to fourth, just ahead of wessex_exile and noah4x4, in the other play-off places, on the most 3 pointer rule. Having the Everton 2-1 spot-on moved gerry_us up a place to seventh, and within a point of the top six. Just the Middlesbrough outcome for Lewis_1, and he drops to eighth. An unfortunate missed week for Blue4U2, drops him four places. Just a point separates the bottom three, in the fight to avoid the wooden spoon, after the solid week for Moor_Pinot.
