This oughta spark some lovely debate: SCFC named 2nd best run club in C'ship on 19:54 - Aug 22 by Whiterockin
F&C engagement, the trust and their shareholding?
The tolerance the US owners have shown to the very poor fans group is to their credit. Mr Silverstein in particular a came over and got to understand their rather quaint British / Welsh mentality.
They did not want money but wanted on-going "protection" and status as owners while doing next to nothing. Comfort over ambition. It sums a up a large percentage of south Wales people.
Why did they not want to sell when their shares we worth £21,000,000. No one has ever explained it. They seem happy enough these days
Engagement, inclusion and representation. All boxes ticked but not enough money to launch the club if it ever hit the skids again. They let that chance slip them by for whatever reason. One reason was the members were asleep.

Swansea LLC obviously has running costs that somebody is getting paid for and I think we know who that is. The intail investors have lost money including the trust because of the fall from the Premier league but presumably still have dividends to give them an income, please correct me if I'm wrong, The owners have found new investors obviously encouraging them by saying we are on course for promotion and the gains that could be made and some have been give post at the club ensuring a bigger return, the value of intial investors shares have again been further devalued by the extra share issued. The people running the company that took over the Swansea football club have failed their investors, failed getting us demoted, they failed to get us back up while parachute payments were still in place but have managed to get more investors and manage our debt. We could have plummeted down the divisions. They were lacking initially of the football knowledge in the UK and were poor, they have brought managers who they thought could turn things around and trying to balance the book by selling off our best assets. The purse strings have been tightened a new manager is in place who seems to be listened to.
Really hope there is a long term plan being put in place to get us promoted because otherwise investors will remain unhappy with their investments value and the Supporters Trusts investment value will still be bemoaned by some.
As for the fans they just want to be entertained hoping for promotion but being grounded enough to not be to upset if we know the team is trying to plays to it's full potentail but isn't good enough yet and try to staying positive with new players coming in.

The financial status of the Trust is largely irrelevant. There is no indication that they care about money very much as they did not want to sell shares when the club was in the PL and 1% was a cool £1m.
One of their mission statements is saving football in Swansea. They cannot do this without money so that objective has to date failed.
The LLC people may be the same people who own DC United which is a massive financial success. They are sitting on big gains. I do not think SCFC is paying the running costs of the LLC. They may be getting consultancy fees for directors like Gude and Coleman. This will show up in the accounts.
Football is a competitive sport. Levien and co were sold on Swansea by the "perceived genius" of Huw Jenkins who they thought would keep the club in the PL.
These guys have been at DC for over a decade and Swansea for 8 years and running. They are in it for the long term.
Young players with potential are long term investments like Ronald, Eom Bianchini and the Brazilian. It may take 2-3 season of this type of recruitment for it to be effective.

Nice to see you have reiterated what I have already said and like any investor when shares drop in price after intial failure you can hold onto your investment to play the long game or cut your loses, we are now in the long game after the intial failure then a few years of trying to stabilise the club.
I would have you note the services within concourse areas in the East stand are very poor, expensive and badly run.Not great to enhance the fan experience at games. Very little is brought at halftime as the service is so slow.
