So as an 18/19yo he has a month loan at Aldershot and 2 goals in 3 games, and 2 goals in nine games for Torquay in a 2-1/2 month loan where he was mostly played out wide.
I'm not sure how you come to your assessment.
Not to mention 6 goals in 8 games in ROI U21s.
I really don't read much into a poor scoring record for us when in reality he wasn't ready for this level of football in 2022/3, and was mostly used as an impact sub in 23/24 where the team wasn't really built to service him.
He is late comer to the centre forward role with most of his youth play as a winger, and his hold up play and judging the offsides will improve with coaching and playing.
I'm disappointed we can't get him to sign, but at the end of the day with a bad agent like I'm not going to sneeze at getting 500k now and a 15 to 20% sell on fee.
Apparently Stjoke are interested now as well so maybe we'll get the price bumped a little.
Because after the first couple of games he was used as a sub.

From speaking to Irish friends, this is true. However 2.5 million is a bit pie in the sky. Remarkable piece of business if it comes to fruition. Bristol City fans are pointing to the success of Dickie last season as yard stick for the future success of Armstrong . However good as we was for Brizzle, Id have our current centre halfs as opposed to Dickie.

And how good would that be to send one of our young players out on loan to a Continental club learning different skills? A bit different from sending players to Crawley to be racially abused by some Alf Garnett manager with the demeanour of an extra in a John Smith ad.
