Errm’s aside…. Lost count tbh…

He has had a good track record 🤷‍♂️

'A collection of good moments gave us the lead'.

He should be ruled out of the running for that statement alone.

He's not exactly discrete in his desperation for the job, is he?

What’s wrong with that statement?

Jims not the one to fix it for me.

Need an experienced manager.

Fresh start from top to bottom

Plus points, he did get a tune out of a squad we all wrote off as rubbish.
He did get goals out of a squad we all said couldn't score.
Has he got experience, no. Jim Bentley did have though
For me most important thing is has he got the contacts to bring decent players, for the level, in.
Has he got a network, if he has then I would go with him.

Is it Jevons?

I think McNulty will get the job, because he ticks the boxes set by the board - is he cheap: yes, is he a yes man: yes, does he like possession football: yes and crucially they will look at his record W 3, D 2, L 2, before next weeks game. Yes, this is a decent record, but I get the impression from many fans that his football philosophy is a turn off, in that it is boring to watch and don't win games and they are opposed to him being named manager.

Yesterday exposed what the team are capable of, when they play on the front foot, rather then passing it sideways and backwards, you may argue that Sutton were not interested, but the Dale did not go out with a whimper and showed some pride. However many fans think McNulty will become BBM 2.0, more interested in the style of football, then winning. The next appointment will potentially define our future in the short and long term.

Write yesterday's game off, it was a nothing game with Sutton already on the beach.

Exactly.

We need to sign an experienced player we can build the team around.

LLoyd would have been ideal but he needs to chase the money and go elsewhere.

Hendos done for me...his time is over

New manager will see everything with fresh eyes.

Big clear out required.

McNulty as to be in the frame now and if Dale produce the goods next week then he as to be a firm favourite..
But who will make the choice!
The current board or a new BoD....

Good to hear about the injuries..
Mullarkey bad ankle injury.
Taylor concussion.
SAJ is carrying a hernia problem( hence his performances)....

My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

It'll be another nothing game against another team that are already on their holidays, if you or the board read anything into these last two games of the season then more fool you/them.

I think we benefited yesterday from Sutton sitting on the edge of our box when we had goal kicks so we weren’t allowed to piss about with it at the back. My fear with McNulty is that if teams don’t do that next season we’ll start doing it again and the same old mistakes will happen. I also agree that Sutton really couldn’t be arsed yesterday.

Gerrit forward!

The team can only beat what is in front of them...
Weither they are on the so called beach or not is irrelevant..

People where asking for Bentley to be sacked months ago and to give McNulty a shot, big jim as got a tune out of this bunch far better than the rookie Stockdale and the experienced Bentley.
So the big question is why!
Why as McNulty got a the same players scoring, playing with more energy!
You have to give him credit for that as he can only play who the two previous managers brought in.

You can't read anything into games when there is nothing riding on them.

McNulty couldn't get a tune out of them against Bradford and Stockport, the first 45mins against Tranmere was arguably the worst that we've played all season, the point at Mansfield saw us get absolutely battered and the win against Walsall saw us ride our luck with certain refereeing decisions.

It hasn't been any better.

In addition, Bentley's last two home games were the 2-0 win against now-promoted Stevenage - arguably our most impressive performance of the season - and the 4-4 draw against Swindon

So, goals scored, playing with relative freedom, much as we've seen in a couple of games under McNulty - with the more common dire dross in between

Conclusion: McNulty has made no difference whatsoever

The Stevenage game were we got absolutely battered from the moment we scored the 2nd goal and arguably were lucky to get the result due to some good goalkeeping and attacking failure on Stevenages part.

Here’s a link for some stats: rochdale a.f.c. vs stevenage f.c. stats âš½ https://g.co/kgs/SmbVNw

Stevenage 28 shots to our 9, 5 on target to our 2. Hardly a sustainable model of playing football and result aside definitely not our best performance of the season.
