Should we sack Russ on 10:58 - Aug 8 by vetchonian
Our last win was at home to relegated Derby 8 games ago since then we drew with a poor Barsnsley after finding our selves 1 down at home . threw away a 3 goal advantage to resuce a draw at Reading, scraped another draw at home after finding ourselves behind yet again then throwing away another 3 goal lead at home to get away with a draw before being battered once again by Forest and failing to win at home to a scratch QPR side...
This season we scraped a draw at Rotherham who last season were in Div 1 whilst Oba missed that sitter which could have won the game they kept Fisher far more busy than we did their keeper ...then there came Saturday . Since our last win we have gone backwards at a rate of knots culminating in Saturday's debacle the pre season friendlies were no great shakes either but of course we were told to take no store by these "friendlies".
What makes you think he wiil get things sorted during the next 11 games.
Read the posts the majority of the fans who post on here can see the issue(s) yet this manager who many put on a plinth as a guru still believes he is right to persist with his plan.
I would nt give him 11 mins more in charge let alone 11 games. In his career he has never managed a winning run of more then 5 games
I have concerns about WInter too as it seems he is giving MArtin complete control over the footballing side of the club.
Thing is, I agree with the first team manager/coach having full control of the playing side BUT he has stand or fall on performances and results.
Martin came here making many promises but he is a flim flam merchant.

On current form we will be lucky to win one of those and get a draw.
When I looked at our opening fixtures, I thought they were pretty generous and thought it had potential to bang in some early points.
It's probably little to early to be talking about sacking, even though I don't see the situation improving because of his stubbornness. I think we will have another rollercoaster season of highs and lows and not much in between. We will still beat a good 6/7 teams with this system, it's just the higher end of the division have that extra quality to punish us for repeated gifts to teams.
If he can't get a new right wing back, he needs to revert to back four. Naughton on the right and then possibly looked at Paterson, Garrick, Sorinola or Obafemi to play on the wings. When reading this back, I can't believe how bad we are down the flanks.
Even when you know, you never know?

Its all about respect, which Martin could do by not making out we are not a proper club.I could never support any manager that came up with that.None.
He didn’t actually say that. Not at the start or recently. Trust me, I edit Martin quotes in our reports daily. I know more about what he has said than he does 😉
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

We aren’t allowed to mention that we haven’t won in 8 league games.
Apparently you have to start again now and it only counts as 2.
The logic people come up with to justify this dross has been incredible. Especially when they themselves turn in the space of 90 mins to now realising what the rest of us did long ago.
There has been a lot of myth building around Martin. Strip away the nonsense and there isn’t a lot there is there.
Protecting a style of play that has never shown any success and asking players to put their pay packets and potentially career trajectories on the line to put everything into a system that has proven never to work is insulting.
The myth building needs to stop though. So I hope come the next win, we don’t have silly posts saying how wonderful he is again, it simply feeds into the machine and will only make a bigger bang when it breaks again, which does the club no favours at all.
Since midway through last season I’ve simply been calling for a realistic perspective on the bloke. No myths, no “process” speak… just someone tell me what he has done to deserve such time and leeway rarely even afforded to the most decorated managers in the game.
Someone tell me why we have so much faith and putting so much time, money and sacrifice into the following tactics:-
In his 53 games at Swansea he has achieved 1.28 points per game. That’s hideous.
At Mk Dons in his 79 games managed there be achieved 1.38 points per game. Again, hideous.
Where had it worked? What are we basing this trust on? His words?
The words from the same bloke we saw talking in that “training” video? Terrifying, truly terrifying. And anyone who continues to enable this situation should hang their heads in shame, where is the pride?

How long Keith, how long? Not that long ago, talk of wanting him sacked led to hate speech, now people seem to have changed tack and realised what is going on and what HAS been going on.

No talk of wanting him sacked was ever called hate speech.

Is that the same as 'tippy tap; but a lot slower, more ponderous and not getting out of your own half ?
Flim flam is deceptive nonsense, that's what Martin has sold us. it sounds good but the reality is much less impressive.
If Martin was a financial advisor we'd call this a Ponzi, he's selling us something that is going to cost most of us dearly after showing some early profit for the few.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Yep I am in this camp as well.
Blackpool away Millwall home Luton home Boro away Stoke away
Before the end of August.
We are so predictable to play against, sit back watch us pass the ball sideward's lose possession & get done on the counter.
Not sure if I want Martin spending money on players this month (if there is any).
I can't see us getting much out of that lot. That will be 7 games into the season. 1.5 points per game is roughly play off form, 11 points from the first 7. I don't see us getting anything like 3 wins and a draw from that 5. What is considered an acceptable return? Enough to keep him in a job?

It is clearly not a 'ponzi' scheme. I doubt you know what it means. The owners are not 'hedge funders' either which fans like to throw about the place. Levein and SIlverstein are sports owners and investors.
Martin has 'boucebackabulity'. He record shows t clearly over the last two seasons. His record does not indicate consistency though.
He has a stringer squad now than last season with one or two loans.

You took that to be an attack on the owners?? You’re easily triggered
