Sad people on 22:09 - May 29 with 3606 views | felixstowe_jack | Think most true fans are happy to see our former players and managers do well. Only the small minded want them to fail.

I think that entirely depends on the player/manager, if they are local, what they've done here and how they've left.

I know. So shoot me ! Like a bad habit. You think " That's the last" then just can't resist one more, then another...

Some people want ex managers to fail just so they can say I was right and most people were wrong.

Not sure how many threads can be created extolling the virtues or not of an ex manager but fair play enough are trying to create a record. Can't wait till next season , not

Sad people on 07:47 - May 30 with 3403 views | PawelAbbott | Do you not think that it is relevant then? After a season where we toiled in the lower half of the table and ended with our worst position in 15 years. The manager who would still have been contracted to us, who we opted to put on gardening leave for the start of the season, has just taken a side from bottom of the table to promoted.
Sad people on 07:50 - May 30 with 3395 views | onehunglow | Again, another thread created to show how great a fan some individual is. Just why are we like this Fans who have STs, Those that do not Those that travel away Those that don't Those that can drink a lot-or not Those that dress to the left or the right! Just really, what are we about We have a complete clown in charge of our team who doesn't know his backside from his elbow yet one we entrust everything with. Yet, what we see are posts created about a pug ugly choker who has resurrected Notts Forest, who will sack him even before the season starts-possibly. Possibly not. I see Jan Molby quite often so might start a thread about the Big Dane Get a grip

Sad people on 08:13 - May 30 with 3371 views | PawelAbbott | What is also telling, is that under Cooper we had Guehi who went on to be sold for £20m+, Brewster, Gallagher, Gibbs-White all developed into £20m+ players. Garner at Forest being talked up as a potential first team player at Man U. Under Martin, Williams barely played, Burns never played and Laird taken back early. Cooper developed players, Martin ruins them [Post edited 30 May 2022 8:15]

Now that season was good, we played Torquay away and lost 2-0 and were sat 23rd in the league. We played top of the table Wigan on the Tuesday and we won 2-1. I remember being down in Torquay when we lost, Molby signed every autograph going in and we went down with a whimper.... I remember thinking that it might not be for him.

Loved it too , just looking at the table we had 71 points and a goal difference of +4 . It was never going to end well .

The Torquay game was the 25th October, we were 23rd in the league that evening. At one point we had pushed for a top 2 finish.

John Frain, wasn't it. Still everytime I hear "Simply The Best" by Tina Turner, it reminds of that game, as that was the song played at the end. Absolutely gutted that game

The comparisons when he came in with Tosh were inevitable. However never had a Struel type to back him. Plus as a manager, Tosh was more successful for us. Really enjoyed the time under Molby though

Molby gave us hope, a big name, a very good player and we were entertaining too, for a while. If we'd had an owner with a bit more money that may have ended better. It always comes down to money.
