Bearing in mind that the eighties album thread refers to music that was recorded/released more than 30 years ago, I thought I'd try to bring things up to date.
Not treading on Mr McCarthy's toes, I hope.
What was the last album that you bought (or downloaded as per modern trends)?
When was it released?

I've just downloaded Rina Sawayama which was released earlier this year
Previously Fontaines DC - A Hero's Death.

Same as that. Thought the last one was a dip in form. This one is highly rated, though. So hopefully...

Just bought "Bridge over Troubled Water"and David Essex's "Out on the Street" (only bought the latter for the album's artwork-honestly!! Bought The Beatles Red album and also "With the Beatles" last week from my regular charity shop. All originals btw and all for £13!!! Have also acquired Primal Scream, Metallica and many more in the last couple of months. And no, I'm not going to divulge the shop's whereabouts before you ask!!

Hot Rize 40th Anniversary LIVE Double LP - Really good bluegrass stuff.

"a diseased bunch of mofos if there ever was one, their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons." - Lester Bangs on The Beach Boys

Skinshape - Umoja

Even had it on pre-order when I heard about it as I really loved his previous album Filoxiny. Umoja is totally different to that but still really excellent.

Poll: Expectations for this season?
