Rugba Leeg is back in less than two hours, Eels v Broncos. All Hail, Lord V'Landys!

Why has Tedesco got a tail?

Satan's spawn, according to some on here.

This is going to be even better in the second half.

Elliott Whitehead - nothing out of the ordinary in England, punches massively above his weight in the NRL. Superb.

The intensity, the physicality, the tempo, and the quality they're able to produce despite those three things is incredible. It's such a good sport when it's played like this.

Momentum huge in RL. Canberra clinging on like there's 5 left, but there's 20.

TACKLE.

The tackle on Morris, the Tedesco error, the try, the fans going apesht in the background. Amazing scenes.

TACKLE.

Roosters are really missing Radley's energy and disruptive aggression here. Cordner, Aubisson, and Warea-Hargreaves look shot.

I'd just like to add that the Popcorn Chicken Slab looks revolting.

Well, my team lost, but I don't care. That was epic and the better side won. I know a Tedesco love-in is compulsory on the telly, but i thought it was Keary that nearly saved the Roosters.

Just a wonderful game. Didn't want it to end.
I say again, how, why, is Bateman walking away from that to come back here. Idiot.

Could be a tricky couple of years for the Roosters, lots of big names need to be moved on. Uncle Nick's magic salary cap might get a bit of stretching soon.

Have you seen Jordan Mailata, ex-Bunnies Under 20 just broken into the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line? 6'8", 157kg, I imagine there's a few NRL forwards hoping he stays away.

They've looked unlikely to win anything in recent weeks, but they just kept on going today. One last dig for a lot of those boys, I'd imagine.

Never saw Mailata play, obviously but, even accounting for the weight gain needed to play NFL, I'd question someone of that size playing RL at the top level. There are very, very few players of that height who make it in RL. Wayne McDonald, Earl Crabtree...I'm struggling after that.

According to Wiki, NFL scouts were after him when they saw video clips from the Bunnies...could only have been from the first five minutes of a game.

I was sleeping off a hangover in the first half, so all I've seen is Bunnies tries. the Eels are such a shambles I can't believe they were ahead.

Hands up, who had Penalty Try as first scorer?

Good stuff so far.

Forward passes and high tackles allowed in Grand Finals, obviously.

Melbourne - 12 superstars and Branko Lee. He really seems to have no idea.

Shame for Penrith & while those early big decisions were right there was a definite feeling it’s not their day. Storm are just relentless & can score off any half opportunity. Hope Smith does decent thing and retires now as had enough of his annual will he/ won’t he love in.

In all honesty it was a bit like watching England v Australia. Penrith (i.e. England) had decent possession and a couple of half-chances, but made various silly mistakes. Melbourne (i.e. Australia) were clinical as hell and pounced on everything to put themselves clear in the lead. And the commentators did everything they could to make it sound like Penrith (England) were unlucky to be losing by 4 scores.

They sneaked a couple at the end but in truth they were nowhere near winning for the majority of the game. Got to admire Melbourne.
