It didn't work for Blackadder and it shouldn't work for Bojo! I just watched him on the liaison committee and he kept trying to move away from Cummings but the MP's kept dragging DC back up and rightly so. Bojo has gotten this badly wrong and if he can't see that, if he cannpt see his own mistake and own up to it then we should be calling for Bojo to resign too. Unless, as someone else said this is purely a distraction device and we're all missing something this is the most inept whitewash ever seen.

It‘s been working for the last couple of weeks here in Bremen. You go into the pub and the bar is marked out at 2m intervals. My local is relatively small so only two people can be served at the bar at one time. You are called in when there is a place free. When free, the first thing you do is fill in a form with your contact details and arrival time. You then get a number like a tombola ticket. You can then order your drink and either go outside to the beer garden where the tables are 2m apart or stay inside where the tables are also two metres apart. Nobody stays inside. When you leave you take your number back with your empty glasses and the time is recorded. Thomas and Petra the landlord and landlady are Swans fans and enjoyed a pint in the Railway last season. All YJB‘s would have a great welcome when this bloody Corona shit is over and Ryanair resumes! [Post edited 27 May 2020 19:10]

I was in Cyprus last year and there was an old girl working behind the bar in the hotel, her daughter went to Swansea university and they were both massive jacks and we talked for hours about the good times. It’s great when you meet swansea fans in the most unlikely places.

Cummings on 19:20 - May 27 with 1838 views | exiledclaseboy | Matt Hancock at today’s briefing: “If you are contacted by NHS Test and Trace, instructing you to isolate, you must. It is your civic duty so you avoid unknowingly spreading the virus and you help to break the chain of transmission. Because if we don’t collectively make this work, then the only way forward is to keep the lockdown, put better, the more people follow the instructions, the safer we will be and the faster we can safely lift the lockdown. So do it for the people you love. Do it for your community. Do it for the NHS and do it for all those frontline workers who have done so much and gone out every day to put themselves at risk to keep you and your family safe.” Apparently he said all this with a straight face, with no hint of embarrassment and/or a sense of irony. The only word I keep thinking of is “shameless”.

A bit of public support will sort that out like it did for Munchetty when she criticised Trump.

Possibly because she presents Newsnight rather than the news. And what she said was factually correct anyway. By his own admission, he broke several rules. But this shambles is what we have. I think they’re making a mistake in not just binning him for 6 months while he works in the background anyway. This will repeat and repeat and repeat and cause far more problems than necessary. Idiots. At least the myth of his ‘genius’ has been blown apart.
