Who's your money on then? Probably the All Blacks in all likelihood. I'm hoping that Wales have a strong showing - hopefully we will make the semis at least. Going to be tough though.

I tend to lose interest in games that are over after 15 minutes. This is where only having 8 or so competitive teams hurts rugby. Football World Cup is interesting from the start.

Very much looking forward to the Australia game though and the knockout stages are usually brilliant.

Ok well I take that back!

Japan are a good side. Ireland looked rattled in that last quarter.

I'm not the only Welshman on the case, the ex Wales and British Lions captain seems to be as well, have Japan messed it up ?,Ireland may well have got away with it big time.

And some thought Ireland could win the tournament....jesus wept.
Abject at best.
More I see, then New Zealand will walk this.

Yes I can't see anyone stopping them 6/5 when I last looked good value.

One of my more profitable bets was betting on Portugal to beat the All Blacks on handicap in the World Cup and Portugal won.

Watching the Uruguay game and the player just had a red. Everyone thinks it’s a red in the commentary box, but I think it was harsh.

I agree. I think initially, refs were apprehensive about wanting to give reds when in fact, they should have been given. And because of that, there’s now some pressure to give them if there’s any possibility of a red.

Hopefully this won’t mean there’ll be a flood of reds before common sense prevails.

Can anyone explain why the clock is being stopped so often in this match? It's stopping for lineouts and scrums when there is no injury. Poite has had to tell them to restart it at least once.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

The point I will make is about the inconsistency of the law being applied. I don’t think Uruguay can have any arguments over the decision and they certainly didn’t at the time or in the immediate aftermath of the game. Fast forward two hours or so and Australia keep fifteen men on the pitch after what seems to be a very similar incident.

The TMO is biased towards making excuses for Aus. It’s pathetic. Plus Hooper is working to influence the ref. That should be an immediate yellow.

The strength of their carrying worries me. Long way to go in this.
