Do you think Hill going and BBM with TE taking over, will have the same effect on the players as Mourinho going and Solskjaer taking over at United has! I BLOODY HOPE SO!
Big week coming up. 2 home games followed by our derby, Accy away. Big chance for BBM and TE to put themselves in pole position. Good luck lads.

We are not bottom of the food chain. There is a vast pool of players out there capable of league one football. Even if I accept your description, it means that whatever Hill did in the first 8 years with ‘substandard’ players, he either forgot or was no longer able to do latterly. Your failure to acknowledge that is what I am getting at.
We have some good players.

How are we not bottom of the food chain in league one? Stop being in denial. Our playing budget probably mirrors a decent league two budget, if that. You get what you pay for, hence why we have a squad made up of league two quality.

As for the question why Hill stopped pulling rabbits out of the hat? The way i see it, the squad got stripped of all its best assets 2 years ago and we’ve had to replace them from the discounted section. The difference then and now is that the player we signed got a season or two in league two to develop and get them ready, whereas now when we sign them they’re out of their depth.

We must have different threshold on what we class a good player, outside of hamilton, henderson and EEL im struggling, just 8 more good players to find and we’d be ok.

You didn’t answer the question about your strange obsession..

Pretty impressive that a ‘new poster’ knows exactly who I’m referring to.

Just sayin’.

Listen, I have tried to tell you, but for some obsessive reason you have it in your head that i am someone else. FFS listen!

Are you Ryan Lowe then?

Look, pops, we’ve been here before haven’t we and you can’t help tripping yourself up. I’m happy to continue for as long as you want. Quite busy today but other than that I’m free to show you up again if you so desire.

So you know who pops is then?

I tell you what, in the interests of fairness I’ll meet you for a pint at the next game I attend (Hi ninco), apologise to you and buy you said pint.

Is that fair?

I haven't a bloody clue who pops is. Lets agree to disagree. I have no intention of getting in to public slanging match when i dont know who or what you are on about!
More than happy to share a pint i will be in the Carlsberg Lounge on Tuesday night. I am usually with my sons and friends and you are welcome to crack a beer with us anytime.

If I keep replying it will make me look obsessed, Matheson, adshead, camps, done and Dooley are good enough for at least league one to name just the ones that spring to mind immediately

No the mentioning it of every other post directed at me makes you look obsessed..

As I've already said your opinion on what constitutes a good player differs from mine by quite a way.

Matheson and Adshead may be good technically, but they aren't physically ready for the rigours of league one football which has been shown in their performances this year.

Camps barely operates at a league two standard anymore bar 4 games a season.

Dooley is average at best, very little end product from this apparent wand of a left foot of his. The team has been crying out for creativity in midfield and he hasn't stepped up.

I'm going to assume done was a joke?

Loans aside (Lonergan, Clough and EEL are all capable), Henderson is the only good player in our squad

Rathbone is an excellent player

No he is excellent. Great engine & technically very good. He’s consistently been decent in a truly terrible team these past two years.

To be fair, we just need to get through the remaining games. I'm not expecting us to stay up, but if he does keep us up, brilliant. I wouldn't blame him at all if we did go down as he has got to work with the players we have got, and only has a short space of time to try and turn things around. If he is still there during the summer, and gets the job on a permanent basis, hopefully he will get a similar budget to Hill to work with and can look at bringing in his own squad of players. I would expect the players to feel more comfortable with someone that they have worked with though, than bringing in an unknown outside manager. I'm looking forward to seeing what fresh ideas he has got.

No tricks, not all posters attend games. So we will both see whether there is any improvement/ reasons for optimism. If it’s just as dire as under Hill after a few games I will agree with you that the players are crap, if we pick up several wins I expect you to acknowledge that Hill wasn’t getting the best out of them

What's your problem now Finan? Obsessed?

Okay, I accept that the thread I did about Hill's bad points was a step too far. Like anyone else, I am grateful for what he did in the past, but it is very much in the past, and sitting so close to him, I was angry at the way he has spoken to fellow fans recently including swearing at several fans just because he didn't like being told a few truths about the way things are going and banning a fan from the ground because he complained about his tactics. I still think it was the right decision to go as he was not taking the club forward and I feel that we needed fresh ideas from someone else. I know that isn't going to please everyone, but no decision would have pleased everyone, and the club had to do something.

The thread I wrote was written in anger and can be deleted if the admins want to delete it, but at the end of the day, we all want the same thing, which is for Dale to do well, so I don't see the point in the constant bickering on the forum. At a time like this, we should all be getting behind the team whoever is in charge.

If you still bear a grudge, come and see me at any home game and we will discuss.

I don't get your point. For your info, I have been following Dale for 40 years and in that time, I have only missed 1 home game through illness, so don't start saying that I am not a true supporter just because I felt it was time for a change of manager.

My post is referring to the multiple rallying cries i’ve seen to get behind the team no matter who is in charge.

Surely that applies all the time, not just when the manager you dont want in charge has left.
