I'm not against Chris Martin, was crap last year but very good at Fulham the year before and kind of striker we need, also unlikely to be recalled.

because if we sign a Premier league or a top end championship player we are looking at 10k plus in wages plus anything form 500k for a signing on fee we are also hoping the player actually wants to be here and not duck challenges or not get injured ,
or we could spend that money wisely on players who do want to be here that we can develop and hopefully sell on for a profit so we get our wonderful FFP fine down
why develop other teams players when we could do that with our own , that was the message from Les wasn't it ? | |

Before the transfer window closed we will have likely budgeted for a combination of getting players in permanently and on loan. This has been the messaging from McClaren and Hoos in the past week. We didn’t make any permanent signings so there’ll be no capital outlay (and no potential later return) but I’m sure they’ll be planning to allocate the salary element to whoever comes in now on loan. | |
