I was wondering if there were some sort of Premier league rule that would prevent West Ham taking a short flight to Cardiff at 8am to be in Swansea by 10am, which would give them plenty of time to have a light training session, a rest and lunch before the game? Are players that pampered these days that they don't have to travel less than two hours on the day of a match?  |  | | |

That's different though, Daz. It messes up the gameweeks, and also they've already flown everyone over for those sort of games.
Anyway, West Ham's team coach had to drive down to pick them up from Cardiff Airport regardless. All this means is that the team have to travel on the coach, and some of the backroom staff have to go by car a bit earlier than expected... |  | | |

Anyone travelling from London by train (including me) already face a 1 hour bus replacement service from Bridgend there and back.
I'll be gutted if I get off at Swansea after 1 hour on a coach with West Ham fans singing I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles and find that it's been cancelled. |  |

An update from Swansea City...
The Liberty Stadium playing surface is fine, concourses and access points are all okay too, as are all the main roads around the ground.
Providing there is no further adverse weather, the game will go ahead. There are no plans for a pitch inspection, although the club and match officials will take a look tomorrow morning.
It is also understood West Ham have travelled early this morning to give themselves more time to get to South Wales.
The Liberty Stadium has undersoil heating so all the signs are that the game will be given the green light tomorrow.  | |

The area around the ground has been clear all week, the ground (you walk on) is no different than it would be in July. Only problem is the wind, it's no joke. As long as West Ham have got to Swansea there is no reason for the game to be off. |  | | |
