27 games 27 points 16:34 - Feb 12 with 4285 views | Tom1912 | Don’t know if this has already been pointed out but I was just looking at prior year PL tables after 27 matches and this is the third year in a row we’ve been on 27 points after that many games. Hopefully a good omen for survival. Unfortunately I made the mistake of looking at the season before that. 40 points....feels like a long time ago we weren’t worrying about relegation [Post edited 12 Feb 2018 16:36]

The last 3 December's we have sacked our manager when in a perilious position It's why I'm hesitant to get carried away, as I'm fully expecting the same s**t to happen again in December.

Swans, Garry Monk, well, if you listen to some it would. Caveat here because I had enough to say about Monk and totally appreciate all the criticism he got then and still has now...... But, nobody can argue with that first season and nobody could blame our owners at the time persevering with him. We all want sexy football and a lot of the time we're all a bit unrealistic.

Yes finished 8th with Laudrups team. Then dismantled it because he could. Clueless tw@t that he was. Even messed up at Boro with the biggest budget in the Championship. Talked a good game though.

People forget in the games leading up to his departure we were piss leaking points/games for fun.I have great respect for what he did here as a player tho. Never forget that block v Reading @ Wembley.

We were 15th in the table and his results up to his sacking were Swans 0 Leicester 3 Liverpool 1 Swans 0 Swans 2 Bournemouth 2 Norwich 1 Swans 0 Swans 0 Arsenal 3 Aston Villa 1 Swans 2 Not great but we've been worse off.

The performances in those final half dozen games were dogshit though. A shambles in defence and worse for shots on target than we were under Clement earlier this season.

We've been worse off but that isn't saying much. I remember the Leicester and Norwich performances being diabolically bad. We were lucky to draw to Bournemouth as well. I'm sure they dominated but Ayew won us an iffy penalty.
27 games 27 points on 14:57 - Feb 13 with 3065 views | Joe_bradshaw | Laudrup’s results up to his sacking were: Swans 2. Man City. 3 Man United 1 Swans 2 Man United 2 Swans 0 Swans 1. Spurs 3 Swans 2. Fulham. 0 West Ham 2. Swans 0 Sackings are often not just about results. Sometimes results are a huge factor and sometimes they are a minor factor.

I wonder how things would've turned out if we'd sold Ash and Monk in the January window as Laudrup wanted, rather than keeping hold of them and sacking him.
27 games 27 points on 19:27 - Feb 13 with 2868 views | PozuelosSideys | Monk was a good coach until other teams figured him out. He then ran out of ideas and was unable to come up with solutions to problems that other teams provided. Thats what happens in pro sports at the top levels. [Post edited 13 Feb 2018 19:27]
