Look it's early days yet,if it doesn't get better in say a couple of months,then I think we need to look at the whole set up,the only thing that upsets me is our style of play,I know we can't do the fancy stuff all the time,but fvck me it's not pretty is it.

Agreed. I suspect Bony was seen as a bit if a gamble, but placating us fans was very much in their minds. He may come good, although he's a long way to go.
Yep, PC really needs to decide what he wants to do. He's confused and that comes across on the pitch.
The sad thing for me is we has some players here who would have suited us of old. Imagine Tammy buzzing round at the top of Brendan's/Laudrup's teams or instead of Gomis under Garry. Mesa would have slotted into those teams, Olsson too. We have some decent players we're just not getting the best out of them (and still lack those 1 or 2 bits of extra quality). |  | | |

The players we brought in are fine. They aren't being used well at all.
Bony - needs players running off him a la Dyer, Routledge, Sigurdsson. If all we've got is Ayew, they are going to get outnumbered. If we are playing long balls to him, they have to be to his chest, or feet if he is in enough space. There's no point aiming for his head if he is isolated. He still isn't sharp, which is a worry.
Clucas - 'no better than Cork' of course he isn't when he is playing Corks role. He is box to box or an attack minded left sided player. If Hull signed Cork and played him in that role they'd be saying he's no Clucas. He is being asked to play a holding role because he is a tidy footballer. It just doesn't suit him.
Mesa - follows the ball about making himself available, not as much as Leon does it, but in a a similar way. Always has his head up looking to start an attack when he is in possession, if nothing is on, he asks why not (by shrugging his arms out) and drives forward himself, or reluctantly plays an easy ball that doesn't get us anywhere. I think PC would rather a player who sticks rigidly to his position, although most of us disagree.
Sanches - similar to Mesa in that he is a bit maverick, wants to try to make things happen, even if there is a risk we could get turned over. Always looking to beat a man or play a little give and go, gets frustrated when there is nothing on.
I think Clement (understandably) wants a bit of height in midfield too. Carroll looks nailed on at the moment, which makes it difficult for him to accommodate Mesa and Sanches together. Shame, as I think they could form an exciting partnership given a bit of freedom. | | | |

If we'd started with the lineup that started the second half, except IMO Clucas for Carroll(who seems off the boil this season) Watford wouldn't have had the chance to build up confidence.
