Poll: Greatest Ever Dale Game

Southend had the best of those last five mins, lucky escape with the poor pen.

Williams (new) seems ok on the ball. We need a bit of a spark for the second half.

Penalty to Southend.......conceded by McNulty...............Southend miss the penalty

Apparently its Rafferty who gave the penalty away for holding

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

Solid first half from dale really without really creating. Side looks the most balanced it has so far this season but unfortunately doesn't look like we will ever score.

Peanalty decision looked very harsh so thankfully justice done. Great save as well to deny Southend. Lots of positives first half and some nice nice passages of play but still lacking something in the final third. The link between midfield and attack just not clicking.

The pitch looks shocking and is cutting up whenever anyone makes a tackle which is not helping the flow of the game. Only thing missing is dale taking a shot from midfield.

Second half is anyone's for the taking but best dale first half I have seen so far

It was Raff who the ref spoke to after he gave it but it was hard to see what actually happened

Radio Manchester quite clear that Mculty was holding their player down, preventing him from getting off the ground........I'm not there, but the commentator is.....

Penalty for holding looked very harsh, strong handed save from Moore.
Ref definitely favouring Southend and inconsistent. Southend with more of the ball withit really threatening, Rochdale playing quite direct which may be more effective when Davies comes on. 0-0 fair reflection of the game so far

Radio Manc D A B commentator making the ref out to be very much in Southend's favour.

He is giving a lot of very soft free kicks but I also think we need to be a bit smarter. They are going down from the slightest touch and I feel there have been times where we could just stand off a bit more to not give them the opportunity to go down.

Tbf the ref has also let a couple go where it has been blatantly obvious they have gone down too easily.

Williams got a silly booking for kicking the ball away when there was no need, they weren't trying to take a quick free kick or anything. Needs to learn not to do stuff like that because he's got to be very careful now.

Well Bury did it last week! Let's hope we can hang on for a point. Commentary suggests sending off was harsh.

Another red card... it's getting to be a bit of a joke this. How many red cards are we picking up on our travels? We did the same last season, it can't always be the referees fault!! Hendersons the Captain, he needs to lead by example.

Agree, no need for him to dive in like that. midway inside their half with their player not even going towards our goal.

I'm sure there will be accountability displayed by club and player and at no stage will the football people try and claim it wasn't his fault.

In fact, where is Jason Pearce right now?

Shocker, jumped in two footed studs up over the ball. Never in doubt as soon as the referee went over to consult the linesman.

Linesman gave the red not the ref...Hendo got the ball but it was studs up and off the ground plus their player rolling around made the decision.

Very frustrating to travel all this way and pay £25 to see the game ruined by a red
