Seems that a lot of people want to make out it was a much worse fight than it in fact was.
I felt McGregor did surprisingly well considering all of the hyperbole that was being spouted before hand. Undoubtedly took the early rounds and hurt Mayweather with some strong shots, before running out of steam as Mayweather used his experience in the later rounds to wear McGregor down. Far from disgraced and in the end a very watchable fight with a very interesting difference in styles. Mayweather was undoubtedly the better boxer (but that is true of him versus any boxer he has fought) but it wasn't the massive gap in class or mismatch that was being talked about by the boxing purists.
If McGregor chooses to carry on in the boxing ring and learns from this fight the way he has from his other contests, he could have a good career ahead of him. |  |

If it looked like a decent fight, it's because the pair of them decided it would be a decent fight. As a match, it had as much credibility as Mayweather v WWE's Big Show (which Mayweather also won). Which is fine, but I'm sure both of them knew exactly how this would go from the first bell. |  |

I enjoyed it. McGregor obviously prepared well and tried a few things to disrupt Mayweather, but the guy is just too good even after a longish break and at his age. He knew once he'd taken the sting out of Conor's punches, his superior stamina and boxing skills would take over after a few rounds. A pretty safe plan when you're as good defensively as he is. |  | | |

Conor lasting ten rounds was a surprise and ultimately Floyd didn't so much finish him as outlast him. Conor trains really hard but he's got that cardio issue that he can't get over. |  |
