We shouldn't sell but we'd be crazy not to.
No chance the board would turn that down

We don't need the money because as widely reported by Wales' greatest investigative journalist Mr Wathan , the reason the old shareholders sold to the new "investors" was that they had deeper pockets to take us to the next level.

From the football perspective (the fan's), absolutely not.

From the business perspective (the Board's), probably yes. We'd clear our debts and then be able to start next season in the Championship with a clean slate.

It's a massively inflated price but he's the only genuine quality we have left. If we sell him we're down. There's no chance of it being reinvested in a good replacement.

Assuming we want to stay up? Come on, yes of course we should bloody well take it, and spend every penny plus the other 30 million they have 'promised' on buying a new defence, Britton replacement, a winger and someone that can kick a dead ball. Not that anyone is going to offer it, obviously.

In general, have we learned nothing from the Michu incident. Rely totally on one player that could get injured, especially one that has one decent game in four, whilst now having a crap defence, and you're going down.

He's a decent player, and done a bloody good job for us over the years, but turn down 35 million for Sigurdsson my arse.

The problem isn't receiving the money, it's numpty head Jenkins being able to spend it.
Pondering fckwit has lost many a transaction because of his lack of leadership and decision making.

I wouldn't trust him to spend anything wisely, his personal agendas regards his own ego and money would get in the way.

I suspect most people voting no are doing so precisely because they know that the money won't be reinvested in the team by our "investors ".

Of course, £35M for Gylfi when Schneiderlin is going for £22M is insane and won't be offered.

Aye thats true. Other objectives, and Jenkins proven inability to conclude the necessary transactions to strengthen might well mean we'd be better hanging on to any assets we have and settling for less money to strengthen, but assuming it were true, and we had to do that because we couldn't manage the windfall properly, it'd probably be chucking away our last chance to really boost the odds on survival.

As said before from our perspective no , but in the deluded eyes of Huw Jenkins .OBE sell Siggy and replace him with some 23 year old from Hartlepool's reserves that his spotted on Football Manager that is a 5.5 rated player that scored two in the East Riding cup semi-final, one of the goals was a 25 free kick bent around the wall and beating Blyth Spartons legendary keeper Albert Dingwall. The goal was described by Eddie Hutchin sports reporter for the 'Wearside Gazette' as ' Platiniesqe in it's execution! '

£35 million will not be reinvested into the squad, whoever voted yes, please check the table of net spend in the premier league.

Yes voters presumably applying the same barmy logic they did when we sold Ash, or assume we are already gone. Playing at football manager. Reality of the situation is that if there is a bid of 35m now it wouldn't be that different in the summer and even if significantly lower we'll be buying championship players by then anyway. Can't sell our best players at this point if we want to even think about staying up.
