Remain With or Leave the EU on 13:15 - Jun 24 by Flashberryjack
Of course you don't get all you council tax back, but you'd get a little more if some of it didn't go to the EU. £13 billion paid into the EU. £8.5 Billion received from the EU. You do the maths
That net cost then gives access to trade deals worth £500 bn a year.

To be honest mate, I can't be arsed to argue any longer, look the vote went against your views, which you've given throughout this debate, accept it and move on, cause you or I as sure as f*ck ain't going to change it.

True but the average person is not an accountant, and most voted on the immigration issue.
I still have no idea how leaving the EU is supposed to help immigration though, and the sad part is neither do the vast majority of people who voted to leave based on that.

Well.. The EU is a stagnation.. and sinking ship.. we're a big fish in a small pond.. we'll just be a big fish in a big pond again.
Our Health Service will be reformed Our Educational institutions will be reformed Our Borders will be our own Our laws will be amended
My only gripe.. The Wag, Westminster, Scottish Parliament career politicians will be in charge.. but we'll be able to decide who stays in power as a democratic country again.
There has to be some politician with a bit of b*lls surely?.. somewhere.. Politicians in today's world are just a conveyor belt of self serving, bumbling buffoons..
Within three years:
- Independent Scotland - United Ireland or return of troubles - Spain take back Gibraltar - Economic chaos
I write this with a heavy heart but I need to get it off my chest, it has to be said. I'm the first person to normally say look on the bright side things can always get better, but I see no bright side here and things won't get better. Everyone has a right to an opinion an opinion that's founded on facts yes I agree everyone has a human right. But when the facts are misleading, bigoted and damn right wrong then no, you don't have a right to an opinion. And the rights you do have, have been given to you by the people you have now decide to turn your back on.
As for taking Briton back and making Briton great again, I ask you from who and for who ??. I know a lot of good people that voted out because they didn't know the facts on what they where being asked to vote for, and I pity them I really do I'm not angry that's going to get us nowhere apart from more separation,
I'm not angry I'm upset and I pity a nation that has more courage to give up on what they have just because they feel ashamed of saying 'they don't understand', and as for the people that did understand or say they did I feel even more pity for them.
Every single person with any kind of debt will now struggle to pay it. Up will go inflation along with everyone's mortgage, rents, insurance, council tax, rates, import duty, food, clothing, electric, gas, water the list goes on. I was told today that we now need to work together and make this work ?? What are you real, we were working together but you just decided that's wasn't good enough, talk about double standards ??
Mismanagement on the part of the British government is to blame why this country is in the state it's in and it's there we needed change, not in Europe. Anyway today is the first day of great change, change you so desperately wanted don't you dare to ever ever ever complain that we are up shit creek without a paddle ever again as you are the ones that put us there,
We all know you are, your the ones already making excuses snd back tracking already and passing the blame. I wish us all luck I wish us all peace, I have a funny feeling we are going to need it. The can of worms have been opened, let's see if you have the stomach to eat every last bit. Happy 1984 all.

Interesting view on FB.
"I don't believe Boris will ever invoke Article 50. He wants the threat of it to use as a negotiation tool, but I don't believe he actually wants to leave - read his first column on the subject where he says: "EU history shows that they only really listen to a population when it says No." Those are not the words of a man intent on doing what 51.9% of the population has voted for — leaving — those are the words of a pragmatist looking for a stick to beat the EU with and get one up on David Cameron. So my guess is he'll become PM, negotiate with the EU and get a range of concessions that Cameron was unable to get last year, and once they're in place, he'll say the nation has a better deal than it ever would have had so we're going to maintain our membership for the time being. Then we'll be fast approaching 2020 and no one will want to invoke Article 50 that close to a General Election, so the whole thing will be forgotten. The biggest problem I suspect is how do you pacify the freshly awoken dissatisfied classes outside of London and Scotland without driving them into the welcoming arms of the right wing. Because let's face it, Corbyn's not resonating with anyone and he's certainly not leading a worthy opposition. Thoughts?"
That would be no bad thing.
Get those troughers in Brussels to have the books audited.
Stop the nonsense of upping sticks to Strasbourg every year.

So do you think "old people" should be allowed to vote?
How do you mean they do not have much to lose, your saying they will be dead soon why should they have a say. That just shows what type of person you are.
Or do you consider them to stupid since they do not agree with you?

Yes. Of course old people should be allowed to vote. And I'm allowed to hold an opinion on how they voted.

I'd have thought that's pretty obvious. This vote will have consequences. Those consequences will affect the young far more than the old for obvious reasons. No I didn't say "why should they have a say". What I wrote was clear for all to see. No need to invent things.
Or do you consider them to stupid since they do not agree with you?
I have no idea if they are stupid or not. Some will be, some won't be. I think the way they voted was stupid. Just my opinion of course.

Dont Know if its been mentioned before, but was the Tidal Barrage being financed with some EU money. On another topic are Cardiffs population more savvy than Swansea.
Bay Campus City centre roads LC2 360 centre National Waterfront Museum Swansea Rail Station Proposed City Centre Redevelopment SA1
To mention just a few recipients of EU funds just in Swansea. There may not be a problem of course, as long as the same investment continues or increases under the new regime.

The problem with this plan for the EU is that they simply can't let it happen that way.
If it worked out like that there would be a queue of countries in the EU holding referenda, voting out and then renegotiating more favourable terms whilst they threatened to invoke Article 50.
This is why EU leaders are pressing for the UK to withdraw as quickly as possible. Their only hope of holding the EU together is to show that a vote for leave means leaving.

I have accepted it. I'm just pointing out what we've given up, if only for a short time until a new deal can be made.

Spain take back Gibraltar?.. f*cling hell.
Economic Chaos.. The whole f*cking world is in economic chaos you quim.
Northern Ireland joining Southern Ireland has no chance, two seperate countries why would one join the other due to the vote.
It's just the IRA/sinn fien trying to stir things up.
It's like Scotland saying they want to join Netherlands since they want to be in the EU go it alone and join the EU no problem, but why would you need to join another country be part of the EU.
Just won't happen.
