I see their forum is slowly moving towards the usual,
They were doing so well too.

http://yellowsforum.co.uk/thread/22485/swansea-tickets?page=8

Maybe someone should explain to them the attraction of their team at midday on a Sunday when it's on the tv. It's their cup final, let them have their moment I suppose.

Let's see how many they take next away fixture as they clearly have egos bigger than their netting.

But really.

Judging from their grammar and spelling, I think it's safe to assume their supporters are not students of English at any of the Oxford University colleges.......

You usually find that supporters of certain clubs who make these silly statements live at home with mummy and daddy and have no idea regards finance or responsibility.

Jealous memories of Oxford winning the League cup with Charlo playing for them.
Have a soft spot for them. If they eventually build the 4th stand it will be a tidy ground.
Certainly better than the old Manor ground.

It's just the internet, init.

Good effort to those going.

Three of us going from Hereford. I know it'll be the stiffs turning out, but I think we just need some light relief from the stress of the relegation struggle! I'm looking forward to seeing one or two less familiar faces, such as Grimes and perhaps McBernie.

Pity it's a 12 o'clock kick off, mind. No opportunity for lunch and beers beforehand, and not paying their stadium prices for a tinny, they can feck off. Will have to grab a snack on't way home, hopefully in the rosy glow of anticipating our next cup opponents.

We sold out and there's a demand from our end for more and they are saying it's piss poor for a premier league club that we didn't sell out earlier.

Oh yeah we're all going rush down the ticket office when we saw a league 2 club come up against us, away, on a Sunday, at 12 o clock, when it's on tv in the first game of the new year, when we have a massive game on Wednesday and will play the reserves.

You cant win with some of these cretins.

Funnily enough we sold out on exactly the same day as they sold out, which makes their comments so laughable. This is our third match in a row away from home and we are taking 1,500 on a Sunday, 12pm, televised and against a league 2 side (who currently think they're Brazil)! How many would they take to a team 2 and a 1/2 hours away, televised, Sunday 12pm, over 60 places apart in the football pyramid?

Their local paper has a journalist who keeps banging on about the fact we returned 1,300 tickets, which is absolute b*llocks! Just because Oxford opened up more seats in their North Stand. We never returned any seats, we just didn't quite take up our full allocation of 1,875 because they kept pressurising us to sell the initial allocation quickly. We should have just demanded the full amount from the start.

Edit: And it is impossible to get a train to Oxford prior to Kick Off from Swansea and West Wales.

And just to clarify to any Oxford fan reading this, I am talking about the netting in front of the away support and not the segregation netting, you complete and utter imbeciles! Try reading my earlier posts and not just looking at the pictures for picture clues as you try to read my posts phonetically because of your complete and utter shambolic understanding of the English Language!

Anyone got recommendation were to park close by. I have read they have a car park at the stadium but if like all other stadiums will take forever to get out.

We are the first Welsh club to reach the Premier League Simples

The cup is a distraction, if we get knocked out (which the BBC obviously think we will) I really hope we give the "seconds" a run out.

PL survival is our utmost priority whether Curtis or one of the Darvell brothers is in charge.

Our seconds could do these - especially if McBurnie gets the nod.

I used to feel sorry for these bottom feeders when we used to play them, our more tastier chaps would smash them senseless every time we went there. Now they have reverted to racism as a means to make themselves feel good I hope they get the feel good factor again on Sunday.

Mind you for a club that spurned Ron Atkinson this doesn't surprise me. Racist cnts.

I remember they tried it on down the Vetch once. They came up the road towards the the Club Shop in a big gang, all of a sudden the whole of the Clarence emptied and suddenly the air was filled with pint glasses and bottles that had them running, and then there was the charge of the Clarence Brigade, until the Oxford Posse hid away back towards the police and the Glamorgan!

With the closure of 'The Priory' pub then there is a limited choice of bars near to the stadium. Andy Wraight informs me, 'There is the Holiday Inn Express Hotel on the corner behind the Oxford Mail and South Stand, which has a fair sized bar. The bar welcomes football supporters and has Sky Television. Kim Rockall adds; 'There is a cinema and bowling alley complex located adjacent to the stadium, called Ozone. Inside the bowling alley there is a bar, which also has SKY TV and a fast food outlet'. There is also on the complex a Chinese buffet restaurant called Oxy Oriental.

Dave Langford a visiting Northampton Town fan tells me; 'I found a small local pub called the George Inn, situated in Littlemore just off the ring road (not far from Sainsburys). It had a number of television screens showing the early kick off and we were served fairly quickly. The Oxford fans at the pub made us very welcome and the landlord suggested that I leave my car in the pub car park for the duration of the match as the stadium was only a ten minute walk away. There were assorted pies and sausage rolls available. All in all a good find.' Please note though that for certain high profile games the pub does not admit away fans.

Another traditional pub in walking distance (15-20 minutes) of the Kassam Stadium is the Catherine Wheel in Sandford-on-Thames. This pub offers local real ales and cider, plus hot food snacks on matchdays.

Otherwise alcohol is also served within the ground in the form of: Carlsberg (500ml Can £3.90), Brains SA Smooth (Pint £3.80), Cider (500ml Can £3.80) and Wine (minature bottles £4).

A mate of mine is a Swindon fan (open air away end in the middle of a freezing winter shower anyone? Boxing day or new years day if I remember well- think Trunds and OTJ got stretchered off) and he says that Oxford couldn't even be bothered to stop them when Oxford were at home and Swindon only had an allocation of about a 1000 tickets.

http://www.itv.com/news/west/2015-10-07/watch-football-fans-clash-with-police-ah
They haven't got much to shout about crowd wise.
They average about 510 away fans wherever they go

http://www.onefootballforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/league-2-away-support-thread

I know we've taken around 30 or so to mid week games (official travel= minibuses and cars!!), but I'm sure our figures were higher when we were in the lower divisions

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

They seem extremely confident over on that forum. They are riding high in the league and it will be against our reserves so I can understand it.

However...ultras?! Oxford United have Ultras and they are planning a display for the game

No worries.
Page 2 of that thread and they're going to get a drum if they can get their number of 'Ultras' (i think they mean singers) up to 100+
http://yellowsforum.co.uk/thread/22613/swansea-display?page=2

And they're on about getting f**king Vuvuzelas.
And we thought our LD donated happy clappers were bad.
The clappers make a decent racket and get the rugrat stand bouncing, but I f**king really hate f**king b'stard Vuvuzelas and would happily shove them up peoples 'arrises should they be blown anywhere near me.

Safe trip down/ up to/ across to Oxford ladies and gents.

Hope it's not a "Shrewsbury type" banana skin.
Win, preferably by a high number of goals will give the lads a boost of confidence.
Hopefully, their defenders will be slow as snails, giving Bafe the rare opportunity to stay onside

Yeah saw those comments, I imagine they are taking the p*ss though.

I'm off to this one anyway. I'm not sure what to expect to be honest, we could easily lose.

Not sure if he'll give Gomis a start or play Eder.

This is a really big deal locally (sat in my oxon office). Been asked a good few times this week (as obviously everyone up here knows I'm a Swans fan) are there any spare tickets - no/will we play our full team - no/how many are we bringing - more than I expected for a Sunday noon ko live on tv to see our ressies (that answer hasn't gone down well)

Think it'll be a cracking atmosphere (as much as you can get with only 3 sides...), it's their biggest cup match for around 10 years they reckon. Nice that they see us as a big attraction...mind you, they've never seen Eder yet...

Oh,..Dave, what's occuring?
