Good grief, people have got short memories. A talented player with most of his career still ahead of him. Inconsistent yes, frustrating at times too. He's replaceable, but talk of him being rubbish is just bonkers.

Far from it. He is a game changer. No one else in the squad has his eye for a defence splitting pass.
I'd imagine an important part of the negotiations with any new manager would be budget to,bring his own players in January. A player we are likely to get decent money for and isn't really suited to a high tempo passing game may well be looked at as a good way to raise funds.

Leave him go for £3-5 m or let him play in the U21's, why should we give him game time now when he's definitely not been doing it.....and prepare him to face us in the Euros.

Inherited ? Over 30 years and 60 plus away grounds.
Dyer was gash for 14 months plus .... amazes me how short memories some of our fans have.
Dyer was gash because our manager at the time didn't have the first f*cking idea what to do with wingers.
As for Shelvey, this thread is a classic example of one of my biggest bugbears. Accepted wisdom becoming fact. Nobody posting here has the faintest f*cking clue what Shelvey's attitude may or may not be, yet plenty can't wait to see the back of him.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
When Shelvey has his head screwed on right and is up for it he is a great asset. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen anywhere near as often as it should though for someone of his talent.
I'd be willing to listen to offers.

If that is the truth happy days, as far as I'm concerned if he can get his head down and stops the red mist coming down that disrupts his footballing ability, fantastic.

Dr. We have a very different opinion on footballers your constant bigging up of Bartley being a prime example.
Dyer as a winger had no clue what to do when he beat a man since October 2014 .... Pep couldn't make him into a decent winger.
The second paragraph I totally agree with you.

Yeah Shelvey hasn't got an attitude. Seriously WTF Jobs he's most definitely got an attitude and is a bit of a tw*t.
The first ever recipient of a Planet Swans Lifetime Achievement Award.
Shelvey is our most talented player along side Gylfi.
He can find a ball that none of our other midfielders can. Our wingers are useless at crossing and when he is on the pitch I see him as the only player who can change a game.
I'll be sad to see him go and the memory i'll take with me of his time at the Swans is Southampton away. We had no right to win that match.

Cheers for that
Obviously a lot of posters in this thread will not be happy
Who's feeding this sh*t to the press though? Rival clubs, an employee with an axe to grind, agents playing games? We seem to be getting more of our fare share at the moment.

Welsh club in the EPL and a Welsh 'National' media who is more than happy to jump on any falsehood they turn up that puts Swansea in a bad light. It is sad the club have to keep rebuffing these stories but I think it has to be done when there is a danger of some supporters more than ready to turn on a player because of unfounded rumours in the gutter press. Back to Gomis bashing now. Unless he gets a hat trick against WHU......

Do you believe our club is perfect then and that this stuff doesn't go on?

The only thing i will say is how many goals has jonjo scored and how many has gylfi scored in the last year .
Jonjo is a good player but is too slow playing our short passing game, he has never been good enough in this department and never will.
His corners and free kicks normally end up in row Z, he is a player that won't hurt us if he left, our whole ethos won't fall because Jonjo isn't there thats the bottom line.
He gets more credit than he should because he is English, if he was a £5m pound signing from athletico madrid and spanish we would consider him a bit meh !

To be fair the last thing we want with Curtis in charge is a player not doing exactly as he is told. If Gomis had done anything like this when benched he would have the same treatment. Though Shelvey is not the brightest spark if this actually happened I'd say it's Shelvey engineering his way out and has already sounded out his next move. Huw gets 10 million and lines up a striker on loan such as Remy. Cork Britton and Siggy become more important. Call Fulton back.
Shelvey should stay as he is a battler and will keep pushing,, has the right attitude to win games when we ate struggling.
