Very pleasing performance.. 21:23 - Oct 6 with 3134 viewsrochdale1987

I was thoroughly entertained tonight by what was a very good attacking Dale side, with movement and pace unseen since the departure of Done. Special mentions for Tanser, Mendez-Laing and Alessandra who I think must start at sheff utd, they offered something different and we looked dangerous every time we went forward. Hopefully a similar result at Sheffield on Saturday! They have definately given Keith something to think about.

Yes, we hardly gave them a kick. They were given few opportunities to have a shot on our goal. When they did score it was another scrappy one with the ball just being poked over the line again. Having said that our first goal was fortunate having taken a wicked deflection off their defender, but it was a good strike from Tanser. We levelled soon after they scored with a great shot by McDermott being well blocked by Gypo and Alessandra getting the rebound. He cleverly turned his man instead of shooting straight away, then smashed the ball home centrally. He did have the ball in the back of the net earlier on but it was offside since Gypo was well out of his net.

A very good team performance with us passing the ball well, at pace, at times. NML was quick to the ball and made several stinging shots. Alessandra was the pick of the bunch. He's the real deal, pace on and off the ball, always looking to shoot and playing off the shoulder just waiting for their mistakes. Tanser did well at the back with some well-timed tackles.

Vincenti should have scored one at the end to make it 3-1 and a much more telling score line but it wasn't to be. Oh, and Chesterfield went wide at the end with a header that should have gone in.

A joy to watch.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.

Totally agree with this summary, best performance in recent weeks with the vast majority of our football being played to feet and a lot less long ball. Definitely time to give Alessandra a run in the team. Only downside was the two injuries to Cannon and Bennett both from fairly innocuous looking challenges.

Poll: Now the club has refused to move on sesaon ticket prices what will you now do?
