If Wales can't beat Fiji, a small country of 800,000, and who's main players opt to go and play for NZ or Oz, then it's time to hang up the boots. There shouldn't even be any thoughts about losing to them.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

If England, a country of 60 million people cant beat Wales a country of 2.7 million people at anything at all then clearly they should hang their boots up. Fiji are strong and solid and Wales are down to third, even fourth choice players. Oz couldn't geta bonus point against them and the ref made sure that England were handed theirs at the death. This will be a tough game, probably with a couple more injuries.
I agree with you though. Don't beat them, deserve t go packing.
Also of course, Wales beats Fiji; Oz beats England. Tarquins go home as the first hosts ever not to make the QFs. Sweet.

We’ll never know, but he had not missed one all night, and did not even come close to missing one.
Pah. Under real pressure his arse falls out. Robshaw said he asked the kickers (Ford and Farrell; Farrell claims he just went with the flow) and they weren't confident. Stupid decision though. Lancaster was yelling kick it from the stand. Robshaw should have offered no option and it just reflects further how arrogant the c*nts were, thinking they ought to win. Hopefully soon to be arrogant and watching the knock out on the telly. A draw would have made them red hot favourites to go through.

In one way englands decision to go to the corner was logical.
They already had a losing bonus point. Drawing the game would have only given them one more point, so they would still need to beat Australia.
If england do beat Australia the bonus point they got against Fiji could see them through.
I thought before the competition wales would beat england, England would beat Australia and Australia would beat wales.
Dream scenario of course is a wales win over Fiji, and Australia knock england out next Saturday
England already had a bonus win over Fiji. A draw would have suited them better, as if both England and Wales lose to Australia, Wales would have to get a bonus point win too, something Australia did not manage. They only would have gained 1 more point, but taken 2 off Wales.
"They couldn't face drawing with an old enemy who was threatening to rain lightly on their parade. They turned down a simple penalty for the draw even though this was the mandatory thing to do. It was also a mark of disrespect to the Welsh pack, who easily defended Robshaw's meek lineout move. England paid the full price. For arrogance."

Agree — you can’t just go on population figures, or NZ would hardly beat anyone.
We need to sort our scrums out, as England pushed us around, and Fiji pushed them around. But, we will put out a very strong side (if we have anyone still fit), and must and should win — with 4 tries would be nice.
I see Nadolo was cited after their game with Australia, but have not seen what he did. Hopefully he’ll get found guilty on Monday and ruled out our our game.

I'm not as worried about the scrums to be honest NZ, as Garces hates Gethin Jenkins and had made up his mind before he left the changing room. Marler was cheating outrageously by boring in (almost perpendicular to the touchline at one point!) and Garces was taking no notice as had already decided that Wales were at fault. England were also pushing sideways to wheel the scrum and Garces fell for that bollux as well. Hopefully Lacey will be better on that...it's the breakdown that will be a shambles with him.
We need to play nine man rugby until hey run out of steam after 60 mins, then go for them. If we play an open game early looking for tries we're asking for trouble.

We need to play nine man rugby, because we ain't got any fooking backs left.
Who are the next cabs off the rank — Hook, (the already injured) Anscombe? Do we have any wingers left?

Not much left in the squad. Matthew Morgan is there who can play in a few positions. Scott Williams is a huge blow hopefully liam williams will be ok. Cuthbert will come back in.

Australia v England will be a great game for the neutral. The oz backs are sharp and England will be hurting all week and will want to win for their fans. It'll be interesting to see how the media in England behave this week. Will they try to lift the team or attack Lancaster and Robshaw?

If Nipper has to play we're right royally f*cked. He's not even a speed bump....and imagine the up and unders...shudder. Really can't understand why a reserve second division fly half is in the squad but gatland must see something in him, so maybe he will get a game, and as long as we're on the front foot, who knows.
Tyler Morgan's not a bad player and probably must play against Fiji in the centre or why bring him in. There is talk that Eli Walker is fit again for the wing and that would be a plus although he's a bit injury prone. I doubt Hook will be brought in as he hasn't been already and he was the obvious cover for centre and full back so gatland obviously doesn't rate him any more. Tipuric is probably our second reserve centre now, covering North and Morgan. Full back will be Biggar or Priestland if Sanjay has to do the concussion protocol. Losing Biggar now is the ultimate nightmare and would put the tin hat on it.

Depends what you call neutral. An England win stuffs Wales as we'd probably have to beat Oz to avoid elimination, or get a bonus point in both remaining games, plus beat Fiji, obviously. So, as every rugby playing nation apart from England detest English rugby, I'm not sure there will be many neutral.
I'm interested in whether they fall apart internally. Lancaster hung Robshaw out to dry and Robshaw basically said Farrell didn't fancy it. Then he called the throw to himself at the front and totally arsed it up. Team spirit might well be under a bit of pressure now.

Nipper and Hooky. The dream team western mail 10/12 axis. Clueless. If either end up on the park we might as well go home now.
Oh Gav. Why couldn't you be 5 years younger. And not broken beyond repair.
Just had a look at the remaining fixtures. Happy coincidence that all the host nations games are evenly spread out and they don't have to play one of the most physical teams in the tournament less than 5 days after playing us? Then get to play Uruguay on the last day, after Wales play Australia knowing how many points they need (assuming they are still in contention at that point)?
That game will be the mother of all damp squibs if Australia beat them Saturday.

They could even give the Uruguayans a few bucks to let them score the required points. Kick off's in the final group games should be at the same time. It's open to bribery.
