Rob Green 09:28 - Aug 24 with 7299 views | WeaverQPR | Whats happening with his supposed move to WHU? Surely we are not going to let Smithies sit on the bench all year like McCarthy.

Rob Green on 09:30 - Aug 24 with 7295 views | adhoc_qpr | Randolph had a pretty good game for West Ham too - although Bournemouth scored 4 none were his fault and he made a few great saves.
Rob Green on 09:31 - Aug 24 with 7285 views | Pommyhoop | I'd say no. Play him in the cup and if he plays well keep him in. McCArthy did get a chance last time but got injured. I think Green picks up his game if he has someone knocking on the door.

Rob Green on 09:37 - Aug 24 with 7234 views | Northernr | Heard two things Saturday. 1 - he's simply asking for too much money and West Ham have said no. 2 - The deal originally didn't involve a transfer fee, we were just happy to get the wage off the book, but the club are no longer interested in helping West Ham out with a free goalkeeper after the way they behaved over Charlie Austin last week.
Rob Green on 09:37 - Aug 24 with 7208 views | Bluce_Ree | It's the nature of the job for goalkeepers. If you're number 2 you're not playing and that's that. Smithies signed knowing that Green is still here and could potentially stay. He made his choice to come to a bigger team on better wages (I'm guessing both those things are true) and potentially sit on a bench. It is what it is. Indeed the only case I can think of off the top of my head where a keeper has been caught out thinking he was signing as number 1 was Green when we then bough Cesar.

So he's not staying as he loves it here and the omlettes are great? He's not staying because he wants to be number one at this stage in his career? He's not staying out of loyalty? He'll go if he gets an increase in wages and a suitable signing on fee Another modern day footballer I hope Smithies plays tomorrow night and does really well

Rob Green on 10:13 - Aug 24 with 7021 views | Stanisgod | Saw him outside the ground Saturday and someone asked him if he was going, he said "I don't know , they're not telling me anything ". Which basically means " As soon as they do , I'm off to sit on the bench somewhere for the rest of the season on the same or more money ".
| It's being so happy that keeps me going. |

Rob Green on 10:13 - Aug 24 with 7020 views | adhoc_qpr | I hope we're now demanding a fee from West Ham, even if it's cutting off our nose to spite our face... McCarty out and Smithies in surely means we've already made a profit and cut our wages bill - so even if we end up keeping Green it's not terrible financially (although annoying for Smithies).
Rob Green on 10:15 - Aug 24 with 7010 views | Gloucs_R | I heard Green wants £50k a week, similar to what he is on here , but West Ham want to pay substantially less that that. Also heard we now want a fee of £1.5m. He's only got 9 months of his contract left here but if he is on £50k a week, why move for £25k? We wont offer him anywhere near that next year so he'll move on in the summer for free.

Rob Green on 10:20 - Aug 24 with 6981 views | JonDoeman | I like that Adrian at the Hammers a lot. Barring an injury King Calamity will be benched & they will want to pay him less . He'll probably stay with us.

Rob Green on 10:21 - Aug 24 with 6974 views | WeaverQPR | WHU refused to pay him 50k pw 4 years ago which is when he joined us, so not sure why they would pay it this time round.

Hasn't the money you get in the Prem gone up by a stupid amount since then? I remember hearing two years ago that the money had absolutely shot up and then it did last year so 50k p/w probably isn't too much of a stretch now.

They want him to warm the bench Blucey. On QPR would be made enough to pay someone £50k per week to not play.

Quite right too. If they want to play silly buggers then they can bloody whistle, the Green Street inspiring pornmongers.

So he must be asking Wham for more money than he's on now? If so fairplay.
