The signings so far have been good, we will have the top players or 30 Mil to spend .
Ramsey and Ferdinand seem to be aware of the defensive weakness and there is still 5 weeks to fix those .
Only downside is that the pre season has been weak so far not the fault of the club IMO.

We cant organise a pre season, so no team bonding, fitness, tactics etc
we have no RB no cover at LB
we don't have a centre back pairing to build on
we are expecting to lose phillips, Austin & Fer before the season
we haven't signed another striker
we have a rookie manager
no assistant manager

Exactly. I think we'll be doing well to finish upper mid table, having found an attractive and sustainable style of play, and with a hardcore of players that we can add to for a major challenge in the 2016-17 season. |  |

At the moment Austin,Philips,Fer and Sandra are still here, we've bought in some decent players and the bionic man is back with his 3rd knee - if we end up with at least some of them still here we may just be in with a shout.

We need to sign some solid options at left and right back plus Caulker to stay off the sauce.
We need the new signings Polter, Chery, Luongo and Gladwin to really hit the ground running and be good.
We need good luck with injuries in key positions (goalkeeper, central defence, striker).
We need at least one or two of the kids to step up - hopefully Furlong and Grego-Cox given the paucity of options.
And we need Ramsey to prove he has the tactical chops to be a manager, rather than an overpromoted coach. | | | |

The club did not deliver on its promises for whatever reasons.
I do believe that we are more likely to go down than go up but actually expect neither.
I am usually very positive but this season I am just positive. If we do go up I will be well chuffed
And if we go down it will be an unexpected choker. | |

If the current squad exists and we sign some more defenders, then, I think we would have to expect a promotion push.
The problem is, I doubt a lot of he current squad will still be here. We definitely need some defenders either way.
Whichever I way I look at it, I'm feeling far more positive about a season than I have for a few years.
I'm Looking forward to seeing new players who are here to work hard and with something to prove.
I'm looking forward to having people in charge who actually care, have a longer term view and have something to prove.
