Henry to re-sign on 10:24 - Jul 6 with 5857 views | PhilmyRs | I’m not sure how people can knock Henry’s performances for us. This season especially he’ll be useful. We’ve bought a lot of attack minded players so someone with Henry’s positional sense and unselfish commitment to the cause will be invaluable. He’s not going to spray 50 yarders around the pitch and become our very own Pirlo but he can fill in when gaps appear at the back and help win us possession of the ball. As much as you need players with creativity and ones that are comfortable receiving the ball in tight areas, you also need people like Karl Henry. Good signing for another year.

I must have been watching a different team that conceded the most goals, chances and couldn't retain the ball for more than two passes. He tried hard and that's good but it didn't result in anything.

Without Henry we were a lot more likely to concede. I agree we were rubbish at the back — full back positions were major concerns and at centre back we were all over the place at times with Caulker deteriorating by the game. It wasn’t until Henry came into the side that we at least started to compete in midfield battles, press the opposition for 90 minutes and let them know we were willing to put a foot in. He wasn’t perfect but he certainly wasn’t the reason we shipped so many goals. I think Henry is one of the few that we could say merited a pass mark for his performances last season, I couldn’t say the same of many of his team mates.
Henry to re-sign on 11:03 - Jul 6 with 5650 views | aston_hoop | Its a squad game, we are going to have injuries and out of form players in our midfield. And matches away from home where we will need to play tighter. Henry is perfect for that. Plus he isn't Joey Barton

Henry to re-sign on 11:05 - Jul 6 with 5635 views | Watford_Ranger | Depends on the formation for me. Good player holding in a 451, probably too limited and will only get worse in a 442. Seems a nice enough bloke for what it's worth

Caulker had the top 5 most headers, interceptions and tackles. Rob Green easily made the most saves. They had way too much to do because they had no cover from the midfield and when they did get the ball out it came straight back because we could not get the ball under control. Any purely defensive midfielder that is on the pitch for Harry Kanes second at Loftus road needs questioning.

You were also watching us play in the Premiership last season. Next season you will be watching us play in the Championship. There is a big difference.

unfortunately most of the headers and clearances only went about 5 yards! thought Henry was the least shit of our CMs last season. covered a lot of ground and did some good work in front of a monumentally shit defence. never has a proper right back all season despite playing 442 after 135 minutes of the season and usually the LB was either Traore (shit) or YSY being ably assisted by Hoillet (shit too); so plenty to keep him busy. hopefully this year he will just drop in and cover rampaging FB's and the rest of the midfield (no really, i mean that; stop laughing you khunts it might happen!)

There is very little between someone whose legs have gone in the premier league and the championship. He was also far worse in our promotion season because he was expected to do more than destroy.

Better than Barton and Sandro? Really?

Henry to re-sign on 11:38 - Jul 6 with 5401 views | PunteR | Sensible signing. I think his stats show we do better as a team when he's playing. We cant sign another 20 players so out of the last couple of years Henry has done ok for me to warrant another season. Derry kept it simple and gets loads of praise,I think Henry could do a similar job. If anything, maybe be a bit more aggressive, like Derry.

Henry to re-sign on 11:39 - Jul 6 with 5399 views | BAWHoops | Sit him behind Luongo who has got pace and will make a hige difference. Problem last season was that he was paired with Barton who couldn't run either. It would be suicide to have him and Faurlin as the midfield 2 though as neither has any pace!

Sandro was always injured. Henry far more reliable. Barton gave the ball away far too easily, Henry does his job better overall Imo. I think Henry can step up more now Bartons gone.
