Pretty much right where we should be 16:38 - Sep 20 with 2612 viewsstrikerace

No one expected us to beat ManU and Spurs. Against Hull, Stoke, and Sunderland, 3 middle of the pack teams who should stay up, we have 4 pts (1-1-1). Before the season started I bet most everyone would have taken this.

Agreed, in terms of points. You might argue that we could have had/should have had a point against Hull and we'd look all the better on 5 than 4, but still agreed.

Nonetheless, you could have said the same all last season and we know how we played for most of last season, and the same is true this season so far. We have to mu reckoning one good performance so far this time out, one respectable, one pretty poor (most of today) and two awful capitulations. In short, we're lucky to be on 4 pts and not 3pts, and the problems seem to be addressed not at all.

We'll see how it turns out, Harry might be vindicated in the next few weeks as players' fitness improves and the coaching regime comes into fruition - it'll be interesting, especially after what should be a morale-boosting point saved today.

‘morbid curiosity about where this is all going’

Probably a relatively fair cross section of teams played so far.
5 points from 5 games, on pace for 38.
Probably about right, although disappointed in some of the performances

Edit: oops, thought we had 5 pts.
Little behind schedule then, but can catch that up.

I think points wise on a like for like basis we're one better off then the last time we were in the PL.

Then, We lost to spurs and manure away and beat sunderland at home (didn't play hull)

The only result that's different is today, we lost to stoke at home last time.

Goal difference in those games is much worse now though.
