Wow, I had completely forgotten about Johnson - no, not Andy, Richard - and he played in the Hillsborough promotion fest too, I think.

What about:
- Serge Branco (as versatile as an egg)
- Sami Timoska (quality player, never got much of a chance)
- Generoso Rossi (Ollie said he was the least fit player he had ever encountered)
- Arthur Gnohere (leaden-footed thieving defender)
- John Curtis (words fail me)
- Wayne Barton (lived up to his Toon nickname of "Twins"; a quality touch followed by the touch of an elephant)
- Sammy Di Carmine (one great goal and that was it as I recall. Currently at Juve Stabia in Serie B).

All of which I witnessed coming on as sub on a Tuesday night up in Burnley. Townsend also came on as sub a few days later at Wigan (one of Rossi's rare appearances). I think they were the only appearances those players ever made.
