Poor Monk on 02:08 - Mar 3 by dulaisjack | gary monk is doing a fine job with the players at his disposall, beat scum held stoke look at arsenal there yesterday, unlucky at liverpool who are on fire and form team, over 2 games competed with napoli who only stayed in the game through there goalies major team in europe, everton had to play weak team but errors cost us, then palace out played for 45 minutes then ran out of steam , who could do any better with the players we have the boys have given there all, if gary monk had been in charge since october i feel we would be at least 6 points better off, who do these key board managers think could do a better job, we are getting to sound like the top 5 teams supporters always winging. |
That post is so good, I'd like to give you a present. Here you go - . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Let me know when you run out. Genuinely, though - excellent post.

Poor Monk on 06:06 - Mar 3 by Dr_Winston | There is no logic in swapping Bony for any other striker on our books, even if he's not having the best game of his career (no way he was as bad as Phil and others believe however). If he was ill then fair enough. He didn't look particularly happy at the decision though. |
So you'd leave on the ill striker? Thank fck you'll never get near team selection on anything other than the Playstation And what exactly did I say - he was having a bad game? Just the same as you yourself have just admitted. You're ability to actually read what has written has gone downhill dramatically in recent months, you've become far more one eyed than you ever were

Poor Monk on 22:55 - Mar 3 by Dewi1jack | This. I thought at the time that Will and Ash were taken off because of injuries. And I'll wait to hear/see the news (been in work from 0600 so no chance to try and find out.) It certainly changed our style of play. I also thought it would be a good chance for Lita to prove his worth. Bit disappointing really. Have no faith in Dean as a ref, so for me, anything we took from the game would be a bonus. Defo a red card for Chico though. |
You don't really need to think at the time it is due to injuries, logic and common sense tells you that they weren't tactical.

Easily said in hindsight. Bony didn't look especially keen to leave the pitch at the time which you wouldn't expect to see if he were genuinely incapable of continuing. Even at significantly less than 100% he was a better option than the alternatives.

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

You don't need to convince me Phil. Palace were in the ascendency the longer the game went on. No manager would take off an uninjured defender who was playing well, let alone your captain/ defensive rock. Try convincing the ones who want Garry sacked, "because he's tactically naive; we have a worse record than under ML, makes terrible substitutions etc etc." Although, good luck with that one. Like trying to educate amoebas. The Palace game could have been worse, we could have picked up 0 points. A small squad was always a risk, when travelling around the UK and Europe, with 2 or 3 games every 7 or 8 days. Hopefully in the summer, we can get rid of some of the dead wood (Lita after his ambling around the pitch- should have taken his chance to shine. Can't see Garry making this mistake of a substitute again and he had to see if Lita was worth a try) There seems to be more fight from the team under Garry. To the ones questioning Garry. How about giving him your backing, even if it is just until the end of the season? Rather than just slagging him off. You never know. If your positive it may just rub off on all your Facebook and tw@tter friends as well. May even convince you to go and watch a game sometime
| If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious. |

Whether he looked happy or not is irrelevant in my mind and I dont suspect I was alone changing him and Williams at the time was never going to be tactical That isn't to say that a half fit Bony isn't better than the alternatives but that wouldn't excuse keeping him on and risking more damage which ironically would have been met with the same derision by the same people who say taking him off was wrong. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
