Graham Horwood from Bedfordshire is the man in the middle at Swindon on Saturday and this will be Dale’s fourth meeting with him since he joined the league list in 2007.
One of his earliest league games was Dale’s 1-1 draw at Hereford in August 2007 in which David Perkins received the first of his three red cards in that campaign.
Mr Horwood was also the referee for Dale’s FA Cup tie at Southend three months later, which Dale lost 2-1.
However, his most recent Dale match produced one of our most sublime performances of last season.
Nobody who was at Cheltenham in January 2010 will forget the way we dismantled The Robins to win 4-1, with Chris O’Grady netting a fine hat-trick.
So far this season, Graham has refereed 14 matches, showing 38 yellow cards and one red.
