Couldn’t help but see the number of empty seat all around the ground. Considering Stoke must have brought about a thousand ish, the crowd looked about 12,000 at best |

Just thought I’d have a look at live Women’s super league footers on BBC 2, that’s on now. First thought was, 3 women on the pitch discussing the pre match build up. Match starts, and there’s 2 women commentating. Whenever I watch a men’s match, there seems to be the obligatory female, either interviewing, pre match, or on the panel discussing the match. How come (at this moment) there’s not a male to be seen or heard on this game ? Honestly, I just don’t understand the reasoning ? And before all the snowflakes say I’m a chauvinist pig, I’m totally not against women commenting or being on panels, I just dong see the logic. |

What are the Yanks thinking by letting him go on loan when we only have 2 recognitions strikers on the books? I’m not saying he’s proved anything yet in the first team, but you need a least 3 strikers in case of injuries, suspensions, 46 games + cups. Cullen gets injured, so we just have Sputnik, who, (and I thought I would never ever use these words) looks a downgrade on Yates ! So our genius manager takes him off, and puts Cooper up front !! I think the Wycombe game was the worst Swans performance (and against a league 1 team) that I have witnessed in 50 yrs of going to watch them. Then the WBA game. It would be an affront to schoolboys, to say we defended like them. Darling, Tymon, Keys, Cabango, what were you thinking ? and most of all LW for not seemingly, being able to coach the basics in defending, plus introducing walking football to The Championship. Then you have a midfield of Captain slow Grimes, me to you Fulton, square peg Abdulai, lightweight Jisung Eom, and you wonder why the ball never gets to whoever is up front. These, (and more) are at the disposal of LW ~~> Swansea City: Lawrence Vigouroux; Josh Key, Ben Cabango, Harry Darling, Josh Tymon; Matt Grimes (captain), Gonçalo Franco, Ollie Cooper; Jisung Eom, Žan Vipotnik, Ronald. Substitutes: Jon McLaughlin, Kristian Pedersen, Jay Fulton, Joe Allen, Florian Bianchini, Myles Peart-Harris, Kyle Naughton, Nelson Abbey, Azeem Abdulai. Surely LW can rearrange these bodies to play better than that 1st half against WBA ? |

Did he actually beat his man once as a winger? I may have missed it. But to me he didn’t look the quickest of players. But hay ho, it was his first game. |

Still think there’s talented striker there, who for whatever reason, wasn’t given enough of a chance to prove himself @ SA 1 |

What do the donkeys have for dinner on Blackpool beach ? Half an hour. |

I’m not saying this after one game. Can’t say I was too enthused with it last season |

Every time I see their names together on the same team sheet, I instantly think of walking football. Grimes reminds me of a cat we once had. He wondered around the place in no particular hurry, occasionally bringing in a prize of a mouse, then going to sleep in his favourite chair zzzzzz |

That why I said raise it (or introduce it) Keep up. |

It’s only a matter of time before they either raise or introduce a tourist tax, to any Spanish country. If the locals can’t afford to live in their own country, that’s a recipe for political suicide. |

I’ve been asking the same thing since he came here. bringing him, and don’t forget, his whole family here at our expense, absolute bollocks ! |
| Forum Reply | Jerry Yates interest at 19:36 3 Jun 2024
Whoever recruited Yates should be made to sit in a locked room, with matchsticks keeping his eyes open, and be made to watch a video (on loop) of his stealing a living, “Lowlights” |

Stop carping on about him ! I heard he’s hard of herring, and that’s why he’s always floundering about at our plaice. |

Personally i think Hennessy would be ideal on a short term basis, if we can’t source a replacement for Rushworth in time for start of next season. |

Oh NO. I’d completely forgotten about The Fish ! 😳 |

If he was on a rumoured £20k a week, even if he accepted half that, £10k is a considerable slice of wages that should go on a up and coming younger player. His injury record is hardly going to improve with age. Time to cut the cord. |
| Forum Reply | Could Swansea buy Rushworth? at 14:35 3 May 2024
I love your idea, and indeed if I was a billionaire owner it would be a no brainier to risk £8m for a possible £30m return on your investment going forwards, on a future England keeper. But can you imagine the chuckle brothers coughing up that sort of money? There’s more chance of them actually watching a match live, of the team they actually own than risking their own cash. |
