Stick them on the transfer list for when we get promoted |

Yes, indeed and would be nice to get a decent DM and another full Welsh international in the team :) |

If Brewster can be as effective as Garrick was early season then we could have a very good day at LEGOLAND :) |

I did a bit of rounding up ;) But it was a right royal pain in the backside last time … can now leave for the game after the coaches leave Swansea even though I am approx. 115 miles from Cardiff !! |

Just received confirmation that I will get match tickets sent out tomorrow; saves an approx. 200 miles / 4 hours of travelling :) |

And how many clubs have achieved this mythical "legacy" status without a very rich sugar daddy backing them ? The football business model is a basket case and there are no winners without very deep pockets … |
| Forum Reply | Birch’s programme notes at 12:37 31 Dec 2019
This is football so not sure what everyone is really expecting. Like the vast majority of football clubs, and especially those that have "achieved" promotion to the PL, outside of the billionaire funded top 6, they are all pretty much in the same situation. Some have millionaire backers that are prepared to "invest / loan" funds, but that rarely turns out well either. So where has the money gone ? Primarily to greedy players and their agents; they are basically squeezing the life out of the game and it doesn't look like ending any time soon, with the likes of Amazon looking to get involved. Until control is taken away from the players / agents then this situation is just going to continue. As for Swansea, it gave me great pleasure to see us be mostly competitive in the PL for 7 years and to actually win a competitive competition (which club outside of the top 6 has won anything since then). Going forward we need to get back to being a competitive second tier club as soon as possible. The sell-outs and the Yanks have certainly not helped, but if you want to make any money in business then stay away from owning a football club ! |

Yes, I feel your pain. Anything can happen in this league, so I'm not giving up on getting into the POs just yet. A run in the FA Cup would be nice too … let's see what 2020 brings |

I must admit that I'm as p@ssed off as most people with our current "form". But should we be that surprised; we have a rookie manager and a mostly rookie squad … we are also currently missing our best centre back pairing and the likes of Garrick (who seemed to be a real attacking threat) is out injured. Our midfield does need a shake up, but unlikely that we'll get any new players in. I was at both the Brentford and Barnsley matches and we should have taken more from both games; admittedly we were outplayed by Brentford in the first half, but didn't deserve to lose by a couple of goals. Whether Cooper can improve this squad is debatable but booing the team at the end of games is certainly not going to help. As the OP indicates we are very close to a PO spot; a couple of wins in the next few games should keep us there or thereabouts and maybe we'll get key players back and find some form. But of course we'll still need to play like Barcelona for some of our fan base to be anywhere near satisfied See you all at the Charlton game … |

Yes, Jarred Gillett, the Ozzie ref. He had a shocker when we played Blackburn at the end of last season as well. Don't think he's up to reffing at the Championship level. |
| Forum Reply | Next Three Games at 20:18 27 Aug 2019
We got just one point from those three games last season; so three or more would be a decent return. |

Yes, indeed. Been very good in the championship over the past few seasons but the PL is a different gravy ! |

Put a few quid on the Swans to both be promoted and relegated ! Who can tell and will at least get a few quid to drown my sorrows if the latter should happen … |
| Forum Reply | Pearlman is leaving at 21:45 18 Jul 2019
No need for Pearlman with Birch on board ; we just need some strong business management around Cooper |

We'll probably have to do a Spurs and play our home games at the Principality in Cardiff |
| Forum Reply | Dan James Dad Dead at 08:30 23 May 2019
Crikey, shocking news. Met his dad briefly on the Austrian leg of the summer tour last year and he seemed in fine health … as people have indicated everyone needs to make the most of each day ! Condolences to the family and RIP. |
| Forum Reply | Graham Potter v Daniel Farke at 21:25 21 May 2019
I just don't get this, just because Farke has managed to get the Canaries promoted Potter was bound to do the same. There is no exact recipe for success. We just need to try and keep the current squad together as much as possible bring in a new manager that has the keep ball / passing / attacking philosophy and see how next season goes. BTW, Norwich will probably be one of the teams that come back down next year when they run out of luck and fail to replace most of their current team, especially defence (Krul FFS). |
