Another old boy who was in the Tomkys era was Pat Kerrins who wikipediea say is 88 years old born 13th September 1936. Pat played for Rangers from 1953-1960 as an outside left and scored 30 goals in 146 appearances. |

It's an odd one this, Newcastle holding onto a player who they do not want and is not in their future plans who they now have to continue to pay until at least January. Perhaps they think they will be able to sell him then and recoup his wages. |

I remember him and saw him play in the later part of the 50's. From distant memory he played on the right side as a winger. |

In the early days of my cinema watching 50s/60s at the end of the performance the National Anthem was played and everyone stood still until it had finished, If you could make it out before it started to play you were good to go but if it started while you were on the move you stood stock still were ever you were until it had finished. Another cinema my old Nan took me to was at the Savoy East Acton, I think it might have been an ABC cinema but the memory fades. |

With Saito and Dembele in the side, I think we may get more than our share of penalties this season. |

Well, I suppose you would call me an armchair supporter, It's difficult to get to games now from where I live but I have followed Rangers for many years as did my father and grandfather and was a season ticket holder in the Lower Loft. I have been to about 60 grounds following my team around the country, but yes, I am an armchair supporter now, |

If Willock wants to holiday with his family that's fine but if he is not out training with the other squad members, he cannot be part of our plans moving forward. I don't think the other members of the team would be too happy if he turns up at a later date. He has decided he doesn't want to do pre season with the other lads so it seems he has made his mind up to go elsewhere. With the performances he put in last season, in my opinion it will not be a great loss. He has turned in some excellent performances in the past but that's what it is, the past. |

Guardian have a good clip of the finish. |

Toni Villa, not for me, 30 years old in January and only played twice last season. He will have no sell on value and in my opinion is not the sort of player who we should be looking at. |

Many years ago, I think that players received 10% of their transfer fee, does anyone know if this is still the case. |

Many years ago I used to play darts for the Eastcote Arms, is it still there ? It wasn't the Eastcote Arms I played for it was the Clay Pigeon Eastcote , my memory failed me but it was a very long time ago in the 60's, same question though has the Clay survived. [Post edited 8 Jun 16:37]

When I lived in Nyetimber Village near Bognor Regis there were four pubs a short distance from my house, the Bear the Inglenook the Lamb and the Lion where Stan Bowles stayed for the Goodwood Races. [Post edited 2 Jun 9:51]
