As someone in the 'old farts' age group I find the whole situation depressing.
We generally seem to have parents who have no parenting skills and can't be arsed to acquire them, leaving that to others, like teachers.
We also have parents who seek to blame others for their own shortcomings and promote disrespect for those in authority.
We have parents who can't be arsed to cook healthy meals for their offspring, thus encouraging obesity.
We have a society that from the top down refuses to accept responsibility for their actions. |

Interesting to hear that although they will be abolishing the WFP, old age pensions are due to rise above the level of inflation next April.
the Tory Government had 14 years to put things right, but spent more time stabbing each other in the back than governing the country.
Labour have been in power some 4 months. Give them a chance. |

Your points about football being 'a very simple game' and coaches complicating it 'to an absurd degree' is, in my opinion, on the button.
The obsession with statistics by coaches, pundits and fans is ridiculous when what matters most is the actual number of goals scored, for and against.
It simply does not matter if we have 70 plus per cent possession if we don't score a goal, sadly an all too frequent occurrence. |

I was hoping before the match that Williams would rest our 'Captain' thus giving us the opportunity to see the team dynamics without his presence.
Unfortunately that was not to be.
To see him twice bottle out of taking a shot on goal, on his favoured left foot, was absolutely depressing.
I hate to say it but I almost hope he gets injured so Williams would have no option but to omit him. |

Perhaps not, but as I recall anyone who was receiving the over 60s rate but who had not reached 65 when it was changed was protected.

You are quite correct, he was a great rugby player and, no doubt, ruthless. Before we elevate anyone to sainthood though, we should remember that we are all human.
I don't know who Bakkies Botha is but he doesn't sound Welsh. So I cannot disagree with that. |

I think the 65 cut off was fair enough.
I don't think there were any other changes this year that would affect old parts like me but there may be something affecting the younger fans. Their concessionary rates should be protected in particular. |
