take me back to 34 years ago this Summer where Doug Sharpe spent over £500k on Jimmy Gilligan and Terry Connor from Portsmouth. Both players who could score for fun. |

if Swansea signed three "decent/championship" strikers today - it will take close to a month for them to settle in.
I worry that we are sleepwalking into panic mode in the last week of the transfer window. Middlesborough, Preston and Cardiff are not easy fixtures. |

Lots of seats available on the ticket site which gives an indication about season ticket sales.....
Lets hope the Sky / TV money offsets the empty seats. |

A little reminder.....
Gyokeres was recalled by Brighton (out of Swansea's control)
and Steve Cooper rated him - and also Gyokeres picked up covid while on international duty.
Context is important and posters should not always rely on WalesOnline as the key source - they have sadly got storied mixed up over the last few seasons at times. |

the way things are going I expect we will end up with 4-5 panic loan signings in the last week of August.
One or two will be decent, two-three average or poor.
We don't seem to be learning from previous mistakes (over the last 16 transfer windows). |

I expect Brighton will want him to join a "competitive" team if they decide to loan him out again. Maybe they will wait to see what other signings we are going to make over the next few weeks. If Brighton think we are going to struggle then he is likely to join a stronger team in the division.
Remember back to 2021. Conor Gallagher was playing for a Charlton team which was drifting. Chelsea recalled him and sent him to us as we were we pushing for the play-offs under Cooper (who knew him through the England U17 set up). |

Was the Leeds issue last season with us or was it with Leeds? From memory and I maybe wrong but a lot of fans criticised Swansea at the time (they knew Leeds would sell out the away end irrespective of the price set?) |
