Half of these Championship benefits ended up being nonsensical last time. The prices weren't always cheaper, the football wasn't always better (though we did win much more), the atmosphere was still crap most games, plastic fans still exist and the ones you wish to go away never do. I could go on.
It's a sh*t league to lose in and we were lucky to go up at the first attempt. It could so easily go a different way.
Edit: also the b*stard kick off times. The Premier League late Sunday night vs Tottenham is odd but I could've sworn in the Championship 3PMs went extinct for a good while.
Despite the fact West Ham’s stadium is hated nationwide, I do admire old fashioned stadiums with a curved stand. As I see from viewings of former matches, Molineux was like this where today’s away end stands. Still is to a certain extent a similar shape. Stamford Bridge, Eastville, Villa park are other that used to be bowl shaped, mainly behind the goals.
The rare sight of early voting republicans could give fuel to these claims of ‘stolen election’ later on. *Trump voice* “We were in the lead, for the first few hours”
Overall, if you take the Selzer poll from Iowa - where Harris trumps Trump 47% to 44% - and impose this swing to the whole country, it could be a landslide. But there may be many silent Republicans not wishing to disclose themselves to the army of women voters Harris has at her disposal.
Some days it feels like Harris has it in the bag, other days it feels like a 2016 ere of overconfidence and poll failure.
They were all tough games, with Palace being the most favourable. Liverpool are in top form this season but a home draw could play in our favour.
Just hope we take it more seriously than them. We need to be better than our best and they need to be at their lowest of performances for us to have a chance…
I don't believe it's wise to charge more tax on farmers. Post-brexit trade barriers have made us more reliant on locally sourced food and with profitability already so low, the increased taxation will most likely lead to a drop in produce in an industry we need to stay alive.
It's clearly not a very well thought out budget and will be interesting (to say the least) to see the results. I wouldn't describe it as a "refreshing budget".
No, it isn’t a joke. Firstly I didn’t say I expected him to score with every cross. I don’t even expect a shot. Instead I’d expect a big striker, when the ball comes to him in the air, to redirect the ball as any professional footballer should. The ball connects with his head like a basketball on a trampoline.
This is true, and when we do get the ball into him it balloons off his head into space. But it is also true his height scares defenders. Paul with an Archer* could bamboozle the opposition.
*I mean Cameron Archer not a Robin Hood type figure.
