There's incapacitated coppers; there's the fear their weapons may be taken off them; the copper doesn't know if more people are going to wade in - no wonder he decides to make sure the assailant in front of him is nullified.
I would say the real problem on the police's side is having armed coppers who aren't physically strong enough. |

A warm sunny day, at last. Work this morning, pollinators were about in OK numbers, including a few butterflies. Raptors overhead for 2 hours. Went for a walk this afternoon, saw a couple of seals, lovely wildflowers and a pod of about 10 dolphins! |

Well, I don't know how anyone can vote for the identitarians, especially when you see what's happening to some cities, states even, that they run.
I would say 'vive la difference', but unfortunately the difference is so toxic and divided at the moment. Society fails if we all don't pull in broadly the same way, and at the moment we seem to be pulling further and further apart.
To think, social media, the web, it was going to bring everyone together.

Gove actually banned neonicotinoids, alas they then repealed the ban!
As a professional gardener, I won't use insecticides, but do use glyphosate occasionally, in my line of work there's no getting round it with some clients. I do try and mitigate the harm - if an area is flowering, I strim the vegetation down, let it grow for a week, and then spray. Hopefully the lack of flowers will mean pollinators are absent. But when you see farmers using glyphosate to predessicate crops before harvest... 
A bee keeper has set up hives in one garden I manage. He has tracked the cause of the partial collapse of his hives
to the dept of ag and environment destroying a hive in a nearby house and then not sealing it off properly. Foraging bees from nearby hives have then 'robbed' the poisoned hives. This action has also lead to these insecticides getting into the food chain. And that's from the dept responsible for the environment over here..
On to bee and wasp numbers this year, I put it down to the weather, while understanding that they are starting from a worryingly low base. I've also not seen much greenfly, which is a huge food source at the base of the food chain. Lots of midges and sodding horse flies about, mind.

We are a much better team with Chair playing, period. I think if he has more trust in his teammates, he releases the ball quicker, as in the Bos/Eze era. He doesn't have to carry the team anymore |

Watched it on the telly yesterday, was surprised and pleased to see Dykes fit enough to play. Thought he looked lively when he came on, his 'defending from the front' is an asset. Funny player, if he could get his confidence in front of goal, he'd be excellent at this level. |

I watched it laying by a pool in the Isle of Man.
I say pool, it was actually a fcking big puddle and i was lying beside it because I slipped over in the interminable bloody rain.

Well, some say he Edward ll actually lived the rest of his life quietly in a monastery somewhere, that theory revolves around a letter, I believe.
I was listening to, or reading something, about the alleged poker murder the other day, apparently those who killed him were rather worried about the consequences of committing a regicide, so a tube was first inserted up his arse, the poker pushed up the tube, the idea being that there was no visible external sign of murder.

He did really well at right back last season, but it's not a novelty now and I wouldn't be surprised to see targeting him more successfully next season |
