As Marti said himself Lloyd is playing out of position at LW. Two seasons ago he was playing in the Conference and was injured all last year from what I can work out? So his main role should be as our back-up third choice striker, covering when needed. When everyone's up to speed you'd imagine it'd be three from Saito, Chair, Dembele and Andersen starting most weeks but there's also the option to play Madsen as a 10. Pretty exciting options with Smyth from the bench who shouldn't be starting many games either. Does Chair actually want to play at 10 or is his preferred position now coming in off the left? |

So good to see one of our midfielders actually being in that Lampard-esque position to gobble up a goal, as Clive has pointed out many times it's not something we've seen enough of. How chilled was the celebration? Handshakes all round then walking back to the centre circle! |

Every opening weekend Saturday game on at 12:30? Why? |

The queue to sign Willock isn't stretching around the block then? Not a huge surprise. |

Seen a figure of 1,816 Leeds fans on Friday. Assumed upper tier on its own would hold that many but perhaps not with the mega-restricted views? Would be great to keep the home fans in lower tier policy for next year but suppose there's nothing stopping other clubs demanding the extra 350 to hit the 1,800 10% minimum. At that point is it worth it for the club turning away the extra income? EDIT - Sheffield Wednesday's allocation was also listed as 1,816 but they were all in the Upper. [Post edited 29 Apr 11:15]

This is the same bloke who gave the ball away every time he had it, dragged a presentable shot wide, overplayed when he had a chance to shoot in acres from the edge of the box, right? He's done some decent stuff for us since joining, his corners are above average and not writing him off at all but had a stinker from where I was standing yesterday. |

Noticeable difference I thought. Well done the club for getting that call right. Should always be that way if home demand is there. |

Funnily enough he did have a similarly good season in League One for Doncaster in 2020/21: 41 apps, 10 goals, 5 assists but sadly that looks like being the peak of his career. [Post edited 29 Jan 18:29]

League One, 2020/21: Dozzell - 43 apps, 1 assist, 0 goals League One, 2021/22: Rudoni - 41 apps, 12 goals, 5 assists Rudoni two years younger, same fee, will be sold for profit. Dozzell contributing f*ck all and leaving for nothing. Infuriating. |

Sinclair has a really rare skill set. By God he makes defenders do some defending, there are no lost causes when he's sniffing around. Can any Championship centre half claim to have pocketed him so far? I'm not sure such a thing is even possible. He can be such a genuinely funny player to watch, sometimes you can practically see him learning the game in real time but he's already started to cut out the yellow cards and offsides. Highly doubt that punting early balls into the channels is how Marti wants us to play but glad he's being pragmatic enough to try getting the best out of Sinclair with our dearth of forward options. From a very low (non-existent) base the goals are starting to come & can only bring more confidence. He's such a great character and seems to be loving it at QPR so hopefully we can get that contract tied down in Summer, whatever division we end up in. [Post edited 21 Jan 10:31]

I know it's only three games but I tell you what, if Chair doesn't go to AFCON and if we can have a bit of luck with injuries especially JCS... Bloody Cardiff who we beat on their own ground under Ainsworth are only outside the playoffs on GD, apart from the current top 4 there's nobody to fear. If Cifuentes keeps us up it's a huge achievement but playing like we are at the moment it's hard not to look a bit further up the table. I know the realists will tell us the maths don't add up but there were also supposedly no goals in this team & we've gained 4pts on 6th in six games with more winnable fixtures coming up.
