That could well be the case I'm sure he has had some stick on the touchline from our own supporters, I ended up complaining that on the touch line he tried to control an almost head high ball to bring it down instead of just flicking a headed ball onto one of our runners just ahead of him which would have meant we would have got in behind their defense. Not the finished article and needs developing, whether he has the willingness to do it remains to be seen.

Is Peart Harris available to buy,? on 23:19 - Jan 7 by RichardO | He played a simple ball forward that kept us moving to get us on the front foot, same as the goal he scored he followed up his cross with a forward thinking run into the box, lots of players lose the ball by trying to put their foot on the ball. Every player in the team has come in for critism and rightly so but maybe some praise should be given at times, in the game in which Pearl-Harris scored he did give a full blood change in front of the East stand which was met with approval if that can be encouraged then I'm sure more of the same would be welcomed. My point would be it is not all solely down to the player. Ntcham started a game in a defensive midfielder role and we promptly went 1-0 down, his position was changed straight away because he was asked to play in a role he is unaccustomed to doing. I feel the same could be said of Pearl-Harris but until he plays in his preferred position I cannot be proven to be correct it is just a feeling he is a better player than we are seeing. Won't be the first time I have gone of on a tangent and won't be the last. [Post edited 8 Jan 8:36]

Think we may see him come on again for Cullen instead of out on the wings if we are behind in games. Having said that it does seem as if when we are ahead in games we make changes for change sake, instead of seeing games out maybe feels the necessity to match opposition ones, may have a point when the opposition team ends up full of giants.

Hence my point on Franco always getting hooked It’s not because he’s knaxkered,it’s policy of Williams Grimes is the one who needs a rest as he plays every minute of every game

I can understand him being pissed off. He’s been shoehorned into a role that he simply doesn’t really have the attributes for. Same as Abdullai. He’s been in our academy for years we’ve specifically trained him as a central midfielder but now we shove him on the wing/left back. What’s the point?

Where did Abdulai play when Ben Lloyd consistently played the 10 role for the u21s.

At what point do you start trusting these youngsters to do the job they have been developed for? Not including Pearl-Harris in that question considering he is only on loan. Is it a case we are pushing for Premiership football but will be totally unprepared to play in it. We cannot rely on the likes of Grimes, Fulton , Cullen, Cooper and Allen in the midfield(even Key and Tymon if we can find players to cover their fullback roles) Franco makes a noticeable difference so does Allen(doesn't last 90 minutes)they get the best out of Grimes, something has to change to enable the midfield to function properly in both a defensive and attacking capacity. If it means trying Abdulai in the midfield against Southampton instead of Grimes I wouldn't be unhappy, at least it was tried but maybe the cup games against lower opposition was the place for that to be done and there we changed the whole back four didn't we?

Is Peart Harris available to buy,? on 17:37 - Jan 7 by ReslovenSwan1 | I do not justify myself to anyone. I watch all Swansea games in one form or another and do not claim to be an expert. I ask the question for the "experienced experts" to answer. No one on here said " I see something in Gyorkeres" MPH 3 goal 3 assists Eom 0 goals 1 assist Franco 2 goals 1 assist. ( Two recent goals) Bianchini 2 goals no assists. Goals are important His stats on his own are the same as the three others combined. [Post edited 7 Jan 17:41]

One has been injured for much of the season, one is a defensive midfielder and one has player less games, most of which have been off the bench. MPH has played 1309 minutes this season compared to Bianchini's 677.

Obviously they will not all have identical minutes. It was not a scientific assessment. Franco has probably played a not more. Goal involvements per minutes would be interesting and I suspect MPH would be way out in front. I quite like the Pratley comparison. He was not for Brendan the purist. MPH perhaps surfer the same assessment..

Is Peart Harris available to buy,? on 21:02 - Jan 7 by RhonddaSwans | Lads you miss the defensive work he does for us. If we could I would make this a permanent signing it is a yes from me. Seriously this man shouldn’t be disrespected res is spot on. Stats don’t lie. |
Stats can be misleading. Stats driven buys have another statistical twist, their stats look good but they don't always succeed. MPH has looked largely underwhelming. As said above, his stats make him look comparable to Franco yet Franco is a much better player, much more important to us. I'm not saying MPH definitely won't turn into a decent player, Brentford have been good at finding attacking players, but he could be that slow burner and lets face it, we cannot afford to sign too many slow burners when our squad is in almost desperate need of 3 or 4 good players right now. Slow burners mostly belong in the U21's, when the make it to the first team it's because they are ready or blooming nearly ready. Cullen, as it turns out, wasn't a slow burner, he's not a great striker and the positional change has been his making. Maybe playing MPH as a CAM would help, but that's Cullens place now. For me, MPH isn't what we need right now, not with Cullens breakthrough. There are more important positions to strengthen.

I think our success can generally be measured by how far grimes plays up the pitch. When he actually pushes up a bit and does his thing further up the pitch we can look very very good. When he’s 20 yards behind our centre backs we are absolutely shite.

Ab. Solutely Why does everyone not see this Why do we even debate it ,as it is so blindingly obvious Grimes can play,he’s a good player ,just one badly coached and deployed over several seasons . He is on,for us,massive money, and he needs to take responsibility far more often than he does. He needs to get into Williams face more often and have us end suicide ball He has a good shot on him. He should try more often .

Well,he is central to everything ,on the pitch and off it so of course it’s natural. We can’t play a game anywhere without this one player
