January Transfer Thread 13:27 - Dec 23 with 120778 views | KeithHaynes | Done some asking and Oli McBurnie is most certainly up for a loan back to the UK this window. I’ve been told four Championship clubs are interested. This will all fall on the fee’s involved plus he is on in the region of €36,000 a week. Big numbers but we know how these things can be negotiated. Do we have the money ? Yes. P&S will need to be positive and only the club really know where we are with that at this moment in time, It won’t be massively healthy. Oli has played fourteen games for Las Palmas this season with no return. He has never been a prolific striker, but could he settle into Luke’s team ?

January Transfer Thread on 18:51 - Jan 28 by nantywatcher | Whatever is the point when the worst manager is SCFC history is still in situ? I wouldn't trust him to carry out the parking cones. Utterly useless - and AC is backing him still. Outrageous. |
That’s one hell of a statement considering we had Brad Bobbley or whatever his name was for a while

Bob Bradley. He was involved on the 5-4 v Palace. He deserves respect for a long and pretty successful career. He never had a chance here.

January Transfer Thread on 13:11 - Jan 29 with 2615 views | Daggyjack | Taken from the AAB forum re Melker Widell: Not sure if Swansea is the last club to bid for Widell before closing. Pure speculation or have you heard something? There are a few more concrete ones out for him, but they have to offer more than Swansea. I think that more clubs have woken up after Swansea came on the scene. It has to be now if you want Widell for less than 40 million.

Wow he won a game, he was a joke, no wonder Sky nicknamed him Brad Bobbley.

He had a 30 year track record of mediocrity. Then those buffoons put him in charge of a Premier League club. Putting an inexperienced manager in charge is a big gamble, putting someone who has proved time and time again he’s not good enough, isn’t even that.

Thanks for that mate, of course they will hold out for more, as for other bids in excess of Coleman’s. That’s the game they play, I think we stated the games will begin earlier today, not from any source, just obvious psychology at this time in any window. Coleman needs to sit back and wait. Test their resolve.

Can he afford to do that Keith? A lot of pressure on him to produce at least 3 players as it stands and it appears quite a few bids have gone in.....names will start appearing more in the forthcoming days. I wouldn't rule out a loan for a centre forward, one with a bit of know how.

January Transfer Thread on 13:34 - Jan 28 by vetchonian | I always said he should have been coaching someone at the academy in how to play his role.....we had f a great opportunity back in the PL bonuses the academy and senior players to develop a conveyor belt of players and coaches all playing the "Swansea way ". |
Exactly vetch. Also angel rangel is still in the area. Players who understand our club and would install passion into these lads.

We needed at least one midfielder to come in, we need two now with Grimes off on his bike.

Low, Widell and one other midfielder for me. Can't rely on Joe unfortunately.

3 million euro and then loaning him back when we're on the bones of our arse. Dear me Coleman has really lost the plot if he goes down that route. We need experienced players to come in ready to rock & roll [Post edited 29 Jan 19:14]

So we buy a player when on the edge with P&S and can't play him. The only thing I can think of is we have loaned him back and don't pay for him until he comes to us in July. We have the deal tied up for next season in theory, but it still makes no real sense.
