The fatwa against this guy was issued something like 33 years ago. Hope he makes it.

Think you'll find most killer's have no religion
But keep trying
Atheists don't tend to want to murder people for writing fiction.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I was very tempted when I saw the remake of ghostbusters.
I gave up after about half an hour.
Takes some doing to make a talented cast like that unwatchable.

Fascism and communism - both of which were atheist ideologies - murdered more than 150 million people in the 20th Century alone.
Don't think that can be argued with can it
They arenāt āatheist ideologiesā really though are they? Ok Stalin and Mao were atheists definitely, Hitler bounced from religion to religion depending on what suited him at the time but he was brought up as a Catholic. But both ideologies are entirely separate from any sort of deity. You might as well describe capitalism as an atheist ideology, or socialism. God plays no role in any of it.

Nazism had strong roots in Nordic mythology, but a lot of the worst offenders were Catholics and Lutherans. It's a myth that they were Atheists. Some of them might have been, a lot of them weren't.

Hitler didn't bounce from religion to religion, he avoided them all. He was brought up a catholic, but moved away from it.
He once stated, " there are 200 religions in the world today, therefore 199 must be wrong!" Very apt too.

Of course he did. Whether he believed in any of them is a different story but he was a catholic and described himself as a German Christian. He was a huge fan of Islam and wished it had taken over Europe.

He really didn't. He was brought up a Catholic, but he would have had no choice about that
Hitler was raised a Catholic, even going to school for two years at the monastery at Lambauch, Austria. As late as 24 he still called himself a Catholic, but somewhere along the way he became an atheist.

Thereās little evidence for it though. There are numerous accounts of him even in later life saying he remains a catholic and always will be. The strength of his belief obviously only he would know. But he was pragmatic and opportunist when it came to religion, he nicked the swastika off the Hindus, he wished Germany could have been Muslim rather than Christian as he saw it as more warlike. He admired Martin Luther and his teachings and the pragmatism of reforming the church to suit his goals.
Ultimately nobody will ever know for sure but thereās little to no evidence to suggest he was ever a fully fledged atheist. People have suggested that he became more nihilistic after becoming enamoured with the works of Nietzsche but thatās a tenuous link at best.
As for nazi Germany being an āatheist ideologyā nearly every single German solder had a belt engraved with the saying āGott mit unsā which translates as God is with us. Many high ranking members were religious.
