I question that report saying the deal was "dead". To me, it seemed more like Man City was getting insurance for what they would do with Bony if we weren't able to sell Llorente. |

When Clucas was signed, I remember reading a Clement quote about his versatility and his ability to play left-back.

"He is a good footballer and that is what we want here at this club," said Clement.
"The fact he can play in so many different positions as well reinforces that he is such a good player.
"He can play at left-back or out wide if required, but first and foremost we see him as a midfielder whether that be in the middle or on the left side.
"As a young player he was a striker and a winger, and he has experience of playing at Premier League level and in English football in a wider sense."
So it looks like it may be Naughton/Rangel at RB/RWB and Olsson/Clucas at LB/LWB. |
