Its not being pedantic at all, my point is that the period you highlight is/was valuable recovery time especially in light of the injury situation we have endured. |

Squad morale

its the FA Cup so what ?
No Replays
Ties played 5 days with 9 different kick off times (2pm??)
Draw at any time over the 5 days even if the ties from the previous round are not completed
Semi Finals at Wembley
Final Kick off time 5 pm
VAR introduced half way through the competition
The "Emirates.FA Cup "
If they dont take it seriously why should anyone else ?
Bring back "Its a Cup Final knockout" and on the team coaches for a start |

Did you go to the Luton game , Smythe was on his haunches blowing after every run from 20 minutes in .
Morgan is 18 years old and because Madsen isnt cutting it has played more and more mins over an intensive Christmas period . A huge gamble
We have already burnt off budget having to loan Edwards because of injury instead of enhancing the quad. .
Plymouth is just the start of a run of winnable games then Blackburn which may turn out to be a week off then more winnable games . We may be able to forget relegation by then . |

But year after year managers in the top two divisions still do it , some win the week after some don't, but knowing that they still do it .maybe there are other factors in addition to the following game ? |

It depends on what the objectives were
Ashby , gives Dunne a breather
Edwards min with JCS (surely our first choice pairing ATM)
JCS minutes after injury and tIme with Edwards
Paal minutes after injury
Nardi didnt concede any today |

Optics ..he had to look as though he was trying to save the game .
The number of tickets sold affected his starting line up and subs IMO
He had to toss it of while looking as if he gave a toss.
If we have no new injuries he will sleep easy tonight |

I think he called the selection spot on in fact if we hadnt sold so many tickets I am not sure some of the withdrawn players would have started. |
