On the other hand if he signs a 4+ 1 year deal and decides to move on in the summer we would get decent money. I really hope he stays. He seems like a vital cog now in our development moving forward.
As much as various aspects of the club have improved greatly the understanding that QPR play in hoops does continue to elude the powers that be every so often.
Blue and white hoops home Red and black hoops away That's QPR! It's not rocket science. No more to be said... Apart from the Ajex red and white halves away.
That's an incredibly harsh statement Wegs. Robinson and Dunne are a million miles apart. Robinson absolutely shafted us after we looked after him through numerous injury setbacks. He couldn't wait to leave. Dunne has always left everything out on the pitch when he's played and he has genuinely loved playing here. The fact that he played a day after his dad died says so much about him as a person and as a player here. Robinson was a mercenary snake, something Dunne will never be.
Some incredibly static non committal defending which is very unlike us. Deep midfield and CBs not putting in challenges we usually do so some strong words to be braver and tougher. On a brighter side we dominated a lot of the game after half time and we certainly have players going forward who can and will score goals and cause defences a lot of problems. Just have to be more clinical and today was about fine margins. Cook, Fox, Varane and Field will know they could have done a lot better and been much more aggressive. Hopefully they correct that on Tuesday night and we see a much more aggressive defending Rangers because the attacking Rangers is actually looking bright.
Also have we ever won in our puke mustard away kit? It really is rank.
I wonder if we'll ever actually know the story with Jimmy? Seemed hugely settled here and happy. I guess at 27 he's possibly thinking that he has a crack at the Prem with Utd even as a squad player and on wages that probably set him up longterm. You do wonder why we didn't try and lock him down in the summer on a long term contract, unless he didn't want it. Really sad day and we'll struggle at set pieces for and against us without him. Could be a difficult last part of the season. Let's hope they shake it off and get a win today, but sad news for us.
Very true but a really horrible one to lose this player as it's more about the stability he gives on and off the pitch. Good luck to him but a huge loss for us.
I think Jimmy has showed his metal in terms of the 'Family emergency' one and then some. Perhaps it is time for the club to show that loyalty back because it really feels like it is dithering.
On the other hand, me like so many of us are not privy to what is actually happening. My point is we shouldn't be waiting to see if he play or not tomorrow, we should have been told what the situation is.
I find it amazing that the club, that must know that there is concern amongst fans about Jimmy's future here have just kept us all in the dark for so long. It's been pretty torturous. Let's hope there is some kind of positive announcement tomorrow because it all feels very unfair on the fans and even more so on Jimmy if he hasn't been offered a proper deal here.
I believe Barbet's wife wanted to go back to France so their kids could be educated and grow up there, which is fair enough. Obvious he's gone to Saudi to probably secure their longterm future.
