The first half was only marginally better than Saturday.

Better second half and we really clicked when Baah came on and had a fine Cameo. If he Is fit and can do that for even 70 mins he has to start v Lincoln on Tuesday.

Humphrys was a positive and he will only get better and better as he gets fitter and up to speed.

We are not world beaters but there is enough light in that last 20 minutes to give us some cause for optimism.

We look so much better taking the game to sides and attacking with pace and purpose. How we can do that away from home for 90 minutes remains a puzzle for BBM to solve. We can compete and I just hope we have enough to finish outside the bottom 4.

Just put the hand of god to one side...

A brilliant footballer possibly the greatest. What he was capable of on a field we have rarely seen since and definitely not on the regular basis he delivered.

RIP Diego you were a one off for sure.. 50% Angel and 50% devil!

The best footballer in my lifetime.

Outside the festival The next 3 days are huge for Cheltenham racecourse and there looks to be some good racing to watch in Lockdown.

We have somewhere on this board some good tipsters so post on here any you think might have a good chance.

Sunday Shloer Chase shaping up to be a fantastic race... Rouge Vif - Put the Kettle on and Defi Du Seuil all in the same race and you can also throw Riders on the storm in the mix as well.

My bet for the 3 days is Edwardstone in the Greatwood Hurdle Sunday he is currently 11/2 with Betfair.

I would have bet on Xander Schauffele i think -4 after the first round.

Now i have said that he will have a "Mare" today.

Wolff bang in form although not sure how he has the craziest swing in golf! how do you coach that?.

There are a few points in my mind...

The trying too hard will eventually pay off when he learns to relax more in front of goal.

100% will benefit when Humphrys is back in the team.

Beesley does not know this yet but Dale fans are very patient and are 100% behind him succeeding. It is very early days and we like much of what we have seen so far..

There are exceptions to the last point of course and some will be writing him off after one glaring miss that looks horrendous but the Vast Majority are supportive whilst he finds his feet and gets up to speed in League 1 ( a massive leap up in standard ).

Fine Margins indeed.

The miss is a concern as its the easiest chance to open your goal scoring account wasted.

The game is a very different game going 2-1 up rather than 1-2 down.

For all the running into channels and aerial presence and nice lay offs and flick ons the number one job is to put the ball into the net.

Lets hope Beesley gets his first sooner rather than later and he gets on a roll. I do think having Humphrys back will help him quite a bit.

So frustrating Dale undone by errors ( GK and the miss ) and then a good thumping header at the end whilst trying to work out how to chase the game.

Put it behind us and 2 cup games now are probably coming at a very good time.

Next Up in the league is a gimme 3 points - Charlton at the Valley!!

I dont want to Hendo bash the fella was god like when he was here and what he did for us and some of his goals were extra special. Firmly a Dale Legend and a favourite of mine whilst he was with the Dale.

He was aloof for sure but he needed that pig headedness to be effective and top of his game so i dont begrudge.

The king is dead.. long live the king...

I thought i would really miss Hendo ( and the team would suffer ) but oddly i don't and find the new look Dale a refreshing change.

I am more optimistic. We were terrific last Tuesday v Sunderland in a game that we usually do not turn up to.

These new lads look full of confidence and we have some good experience helping them through games with O Connell / Lund / Done in and around them.

It will be a tough game but i think Dale will give a good account of themselves and get at least a point with a hard fought draw

Last few games have looked like the early Hill era when we repeatedly gave bigger sides a proper game.

Last season i was a touch critical of BBM.

Hands up and fair play to BBM he obviously has an eye for a player that will play how he wants to play.

Newby / Beesley / Bola / Roberts / Bazuna... That's half a team right there all regular starters this season. The five are all new into the club this season and all doing us proud.

More of the same and with Humphrys due back soon i am really enjoying the new look Dale.

Looking forward to tomorrow night v Oxford already.

I wanted to see effort endeavour and not get bullied....

Rochdale AFC take a bow you didn’t disappoint.

2-2 was a bonus and another point to the tally. I was frustrated after Hull last week but the boys and BBM did us all proud.

I am actually really enjoying a new look starting 11 and the old guard who have moved on to pastures new I wish them well but last night was so refreshing.
