I think summer 1972 was the last term Brookfield was open as the Meanwood Primary School annexe (Junior 3?). I was there. Great times - remember the head Mr Lees visiting every so often. He was a tall fella! Favourite school dinner was cheese & onion pie on a Friday - good times. |

I listened to the game, sounded frustrating to watch. Amazed at the number of Dale fans - they're great! Also surprised at the low turnout from home fans on a Bank Holiday, anyone know their average gate? |

Was at the game yesterday with others, standing in the Sandy as usual.
We began well, with a goal, then fell apart in the middle until towards the end.
Yes, it was frustrating to watch at times and there were some unhappy fans. However, does it help the team to boo and hurl insults? It will only drain any confidence in the players - especially younger players like Brooks. Okay he made a couple of errors, but none of the team walk on the pitch wanting to play badly. Even Liverpool players make mistakes! Perhaps the pressure of desperately wanting a win and expecting those visitors to attend yesterday had an impact..
Keep the faith, get behind the team (and Jim - who is still a newbie remember) as best you can. Encourage rather than insult.
Just my opinion.

Just watched piece on GB News about Rochdale AFC and they interviewed David Tully and Simon Gauge. Reiterated everything we know about the important business today. Tully and Gauge both hope the Council will help the club too. |

Although having checked Fund It Now website, there are probably other costs - I note a 'one off fee' at completion of project which I can't determine.
There is more information on the site about funds raised at other clubs, for comparison. |

I calculate it as follows:
Small plaque = £80 (less 20% VAT) = £64
70% of £64 = £44.80 (profit for RAFC)
Large plaque = £150 (less 20% VAT) = £120
70% of £120 = £84.00 (profit for RAFC)

Further to my recent post, I had an answer to my query regarding the above.
70% of the revenues (after tax) from the fan wall, go to the football club. |

Morecambe FC BoD have issued a statement. They're obviously experiencing problems in their search for new investment. Seems a number of clubs are having similar struggles these days. Sad times.
